I received a letter from a company called Money Ladder in the mail. The letter states that I have been pre-approved for an "Inflation Relief Loan of up to $21,000.00. The letter provides a pin and comes off as legitimate, but it is not. Upon applying the pin at the company's website, a phone number was provided. When I called the phone number, I spoke to a company representative and was asked if it would be alright to run my credit? In short, I did not qualify for the loan that I was supposedly prequalified for. When dealing with businesses like Money Ladder, the next step is a high-pressured pitch to join a consolidation program that they offer. When I state high-pressure, I mean that companies like Money Ladder call and text the consumer numerous times to try and get them join their consolidation program. The problem with consolidation programs is that your loan gets sold to other loan companies. This is when things start getting confusing for consumers. Even if the consolidation company goes under, a lot of people don't understand that they are still responsible for paying off their credit. It can destroy a consumer's credit score. I think Money Ladder is a misleading company about what they offer. Their representative was quick to point out that on the back of their letter (in fine print) the prequalification offer was for either a loan or a loan consolidation program. That they offered both. This is misleading. I get at least two of these types of false loan letter offers each week in my mailbox from various companies. I live on a ************ base. Now retired, I independently advocate for Veterans. I have been upset about these false loan offers for quite some time now. When companies like Money Ladder run your credit score, your credit score is lowered. I think something should be posted online so consumers know what is really happening, so they are not beguiled by false pretenses.

******* showed great knowledge, empathy, compassion, and a drive to help others. This was very apparent on a real level, not some fake customer service facade. Her and this company have genuinely removed a monkey from my familys back and helped us push forward in an ever declining and dog eat dog economy. May *** bless these people for what they do
