I closed my account with ********************************************* Club in ****** March/April 2023. At the time I was still recovering from a knee surgery and in process of scheduling another surgery as well limiting my ability to use the gym. Another reason for cancelling was due to the fact that during that time found out there was a homeless person living out of there breaker room in the back as well as exstensive drug use happening in the area (I was close friends with an employee at the time and this in formation was not being made publid to the members of the gym in regards to safety) I was shown multipe photos and videos of the situation and safety hazards that the gym management was failing to deal with. About 1-2 months late the gym itself closed down with out notice. All in all I am now receiving collection calls from a law office for charges that should never have taken place to begin with given the state of the gym, the random closing, and my having cancelled my membership. Poor business practice and feels like a scam and harassment at this point as the calls have come out of nowhere and are invalid.

I joined Elements Gym on March 22, 2022, and had to cancel my membership on March 29, 2022 due to the broken elevator. The day I joined Elements Gym, ************, the gym manager failed to mention the broken elevator. ************ also brought **************** over to have me sign up for a personal trainer. During the time I spoke with ****************, I informed him of my disabilities and that I am a disabled senior citizen. He did not inform me about the broken elevator. I was at the gym for about seven days. I kept asking ************ when the elevator would be fixed, because I was having problems going up the stairs to access the gym equipment I was assigned to work out on. On March 29, 2022 I spoke with *********** and requested that my ******** gym membership be cancelled. He told me that the Redwood Personal Training was separate from the gym, and he could not cancel the contract. I then requested to speak with ****************. I was informed he was busy and would not speak with me. I waited about five days, and then tried to contact him about cancelling the contract for personal fitness due to the elevator being broken, and me not being able to access the second floor. **************** has threatened me and sent the contract to collections if I do not pay the amount on the contract. I have tried to discuss the matter with him and the corporate office. They refuse to work with me. As a disabled senior citizen I thin I am being discriminated against and taken advantage of. Elements Gym and Redwood Personal Training are expected to adhere to American Disability Law, and work with disabled senior citizens. I would like the personal training contract cancelled and taken out of collections. I also, would like to know what Elements Gym was charging ******** for the membership, and did ************ really cancel the membership. I hope Elements Gym is not charging ******** for this gym membership. Thank you for your assistance concerning this matter.
