            I assume the owner of this business knows what he's doing. He was able to tell me several things about my grandfather clock, how it works & why it wasn't working. However, he came into my home without wearing a mask or even letting me know he wouldn't be wearing a mask. After he took the parts to his ship to fix them, he called to schedule a day to install them. I asked him to wear a mask this time. He said he couldn't see what he needed to do inside the clock as his glasses would fog. When he arrived on the appointed day, I told him I was uncomfortable with him in my home without a mask on. I was about to offer him a mask that wouldn't fog, but he immediately said he was not going to wear a mask. I requested that he leave the parts on the doorstep, and that I would pay him for the work done. Not only did he charge me for the full job without finishing it, but he didn't even apologize for not warning me before he came the first time!I would appreciate some courtesy.

            If the customer had requested a mask be worn when she contracted the work done, I would have informed her I don't wear a mask as I am vaccinated. If she had any issue with that, I would have instructed her to call someone else. When scheduling the return visit she said that she would just be in another part of the home. Upon arrival after over an hour drive, she said she wasn't comfortable with me in the home. So she had the option of paying the contracted price and letting me finish the job or paying the contracted price and have me leave the parts at her doorstep. She chose to have them left at the doorstep.Any customer with special needs of desires should express those before contracting a job.
