My Trailer and Jetski were towed without prior authorization or 72hour notification. The company denied having my equipment when I called in the morning despite 311 informing me that they had it. They passed me back and forth all day then proceed to tell me I need an authorization from the PD that evening once they admitted to having it. The PD told me that they dont need authorization from them because the authorization to tow didnt come from them and it wasnt in their system. I finally got the PD to do an authorization and its now 5pm and Chima will not allow me to get my equipment. They called me ghetto because I asked to speak with a manager and said Thats why were adding extra fees to your tow throughout the weekend. I just had a funeral for my daughter whom I gave birth to early and she passed away. I had to go out of town for her funeral. Upon arrival, there were no notice on my jetski for it to be moved. Also, it had been moved Friday prior to me leaving. To be talked to recklessly and with no respect from this company is shameful. Also, for them to tow my equipment for false reasons, proceed to give me the run around, refuse to give me the managers contact, and be disrespectful is shameful. I will not be paying extra fees and will file a lawsuit against them.Business response

Chimas Tow was called by the code enforcement officers to tow a trailer and jet ski. According to cvc code 22651(k) it requires the release from pd.When owner called us we told the owner to get a release from pd.Our business hours are Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.The owner called us on 9/16/22 5:30 pm stating that we are giving them run around. We told them we can not fo anything without the release from PD. Then he demanded to speak to owner and manager. We told him to call Monday after 8:00 am.He said I am not paying any extra fees.We told the owner as long the vehicle is inside our yard the storage continues.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because: I called Friday and they quoted me $1296. Today I call and they quote me $1096. They keep lying about their rates and proceed to tell me Im not the registered owner when I am and have documentation. I just had to bury my child that I recently gave birth to and this company wants to play with me. Im Active Duty in the military and am filing a complaint with the state Attorney General.
