On September ****** I financed a 2008 Land Rover Range Rover from Capital City used ********* I paid them $19,000 I owe them $600 more for a properly working vehicle. My vehicle was recently was Stolen on November,27 2021 when I tried to report it to 911 on November 28,2021 I couldn't because Capital City never put the Vehicle in my name. ******* the owner told me he don't have pink slip and that where he bought it ******** has the pink slip. So I then asked for my money back, he stated he needed to talk to his supervisor. Which has not gotten in touch with me yet. I would like my money back for a vehicle that was never in my name.$19,000.Business response

First I would like to thank you for your business and we're sorry to hear your vehicle was stolen. Unfortunately the other dealership that sold this particular vehicle to us went out of business due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The auction that we purchased this vehicle from tried repeatedly to finalize this title paperwork. However it took longer than expected because they had to go through certain DMV procedures in order to create a new title which took longer than expected. At this point in time, we have successfully received the pink slip and corresponding paperwork from the auction and we have successfully completed transferring the vehicle into your name. These extra DMV procedures never prevented you from the ability to purchase insurance on your vehicle, as state law and our written sales contract requires, and didnt stop the vehicle from easily being reported stolen. This insurance coverage would have protected you from any loss such as this where the vehicle was stolen and never recovered.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because:Due to the fact of my name name not being on the Vehical I still could not report is stolen only the legal owner could which DMV specifically told me it was not me as the owner that is when DMV advised me to go to DMV investigative services which I did I have copy of my paperwork stamped and witness that was there from the beginning (*****************************) which also has statement signed and stamped. I also have a police report number, I am also looking into a lawyer that will assist me in exposing what your business is capable of doing and is doing which is against the law. You have me paying you money to improve someone else credit because my name was not on the Vehical the whole time I've had it. But someone else name was at the time. All I want is the money back for a vehical that was never put in my name.
