This reaction to the vehicle from Mr. *********** comes as a surprise. A large percentage of our sales are "sight unseen" and I spend a lot of time and effort making sure that questions are answered accurately so customers feel like they know what they are getting before taking delivery.

I've been selling classic and exotic vehicles for ******************************************************************************************************** person before taking delivery, through that I have maintained an excellent reputation (which is on display publicly for anyone to see) by being as forthright and honest as possible.

I feel like I represented the car accurately, Mr. *********** said that I described the car as near perfect. Yesterday I hesitated to describe a 2 year old car with under ***** miles as perfect so I'm nearly certain I never used that word to describe the condition of this car.

This specific year, model, trim, Corvette is very rare and perfect examples sell for much much more than what we had this one advertised for. Mr. ***** also negotiated a discount of $6,900 off of the asking price. I also got a lot of grief about selling this car for too little and that the car was worth more.

I don't know what else I can say, I try my best to provide excellent customer service and encourage long lasting relationships in this business, I don't feel like this level of complaint is justified and any dissatisfaction Mr. ***** is experiencing is due to his own lack of due diligence and this attempt to divert responsibility is dishonorable.

      -------------------------
Many of the much newer vehicles we sell are subject to pre-purchase inspections from specialist mechanics and that was not the case on this car.

I am rejecting this response because: The carviscleaking gasoline, mski g it dangerous.  The car needs in excess of **** dollars of interior parts plus labor.  The cars mechanicsl bills will be in excess of $3000.

It is diengenuis that they claim they knew nothing of these needed repairs.

Of course they claim they said nothing!  what else would anyone expect from a used car dealer.  Not one offer to fix anything.  why???

      Good morning,

Don't you find it interesting that Luxury is now claiming I should have inspected the car.   NOT once did they say that during the buying process.  They just wanted the sale.  All I heard was how wonderful the car is.   The car is leaking gasoline.  It could have caught fire and exploded.  They even said it is over 50 years old.  Why would you not inspect a car to be of minimal safety standards?  They represented the car as nearly perfect, when in fact it was in need of thousands of dollars of interior parts and several thousand dollars of mechanical work.  I had to have the car towed into the shop because of how bad the gas leak is.

To put the blame on me when they sold a car that was dangerous and not even close to what they represented is absurd.  To say they sold the car much cheaper than they should is not even an argument.  It is displacement of blame to cover their selling of a car that could have exploded and killed me.

      ****

*******, the car at no time leaked fuel while in our care. We inspected the car. That's how we knew it had no fuel leak. This is the first time hearing of this. But we would be happy to help. Forward a copy of the fuel repair bill. Again, at no time did we represent the car as near perfect. A near perfect matching #s **** 427 ******** would set you back upwards of $100k.  It sounds like you have an obvious dislike of used car dealers. We do not misrepresent any of our inventory. If the car needed nothing our price would have reflected that. At a minimum we would expect to market the car for thousands more. We are sorry you do not see the value of your purchase.

I am rejecting this response because:

      1. First:   Whether I like used car dealerships or not is totally irrelevant to this issue.  You are trying to displace the blame of your dishonest actions.  This matter is about a life-threatening car you sold me with no notice of all the damage it has.

      2. I told you in my ****** reviews and first email through the BBB that the carbs were shot, and the entire tri power system needed to to be rebuilt.  Saying I never mentioned a gas leak is disingenuous.  Once again, you are trying to displace the issue onto me when you have avoided taking responsibility for a car that could have killed me.

      3.  THERE IS NO WAY YOU INPSECTED THIS ***.   The tri-power system is shot.  ALL THE GUAGES IN THE *** DO NOT WORK, (how the h*** can you miss that if inspected). THE INTERIOR IS FALLING APART AND IS MISSING NUMEROIUS PARTS AND MANY THAT ARE THERE ARE BROKEN.    ONCE THE *** WAS INSPECTED BY MY MECHANIC, THEY FOUND THAT THE *** HAD BEEN HIT HARD IN THE ***** END.  THERE ARE NUMEROUS WELDS AND DAMAGE TO THE UNDERSIDE OF THE ***.  THIS IS WHY YOU NEVER SUPLIED ANY DETAILED PHOTOS OF THE ***S PASENGER SIDE.   ALL VIDEOS ETC. WERE ONLY OF THE DRIVERS SIDE.  YOU KNEW THE *** WAS C*** AND MECHANICLY WAS DAMAGED, SEVERLY EFFECTING THE VALUE AND INTEGRITY OF THE ***.   YOU NEVER INSPECTED THIS *** AT ALL.  IF INSPECTED , WHY WOULD YOU SELL A *** THAT COULD HAVE EXPLODED AND OR CAUSED A LIFE-THREATENING INJURY.

      4. ONCE AGAIN, you are trying to displace the blame by saying i have no idea the value of the car I purchased.    Value is in question because the car is severely damaged.  YOU KNEW THIS! THERE IS NO WAY YOU DID NTO KNOW ALL THE DAMAGE TO THIS ***.  YOU FIGURED YOU WOULD JUST SLIME IT INTO A SALE.

      5. The car is currently at the mechanics and an estimate being created. The interior is over $2000. in parts ALONE.  The mechanical repairs I expect to be  be between 5-$10,000.

      6. I would expect you to buy the car back at purchase price plus shipping costs both ways, OR, you pay the entire repair bill for the interior and mechanical repairs.   If you agree, I will remove the reviews off ****** and the matter will be settled.   I will forward the mechanical estimate as soon as I receive it.
