On about March 4, 2022, I brought my IPad to CPR Cell Phone Repair to get the battery replaced. The following week I got a call that it was ready for pick up so I paid for the repair and took my IPad home. That evening I noticed the IPad began to spontaneously restart. It had never done that before. The next morning, I believe it was March 10th, I brought the IPad back and explained what was happening. I got a call later that day telling me that I had problems with my IPad that was causing it to spontaneously shut down. I explained to them that the IPad wasn't spontaneously shutting down when I initially brought the IPad for the battery replacement. They said that they would have another technician look at it. Today, March 17th, I got a call from them telling me it will cost me $190 to fix the problem that is causing it to spontaneously shut down or I can pick up the IPad. I asked for the supervisor's name and was told her first name, ******** Then, I asked for a contact number and was told they don't give that out but the supervisor will be in touch with me. I don't feel I should have to pay to fix an issue that did not exist when I brought the **** in to have the battery replaced. However, If I don't get the repair, the IPad is junk because it spontaneously shuts down. This business should repair my IPad and eat the cost of the repair because they broke it.

To whomever this may concern, please be careful when youre looking to get your phone repaired by this company. Or if youre offered insurance through Assurant. I got my screen repaired a few times. The first Time, it only lasted a few days, I had bought life time warranty. However, the problem persisted. After getting my screen repaired a couple of times I was told they found liquid in my phone and that voided my coverage. I had to once more pay out of pocket for a new screen. At the time I had already purchased insurance coverage through assurant. When I reached out to make a claim I was told they would contact me via email. I have yet to hear from assurant. The last time I went in to get my phone repaired I was told my mother board was damaged and I needed a new phone. I speculate that CPR already knew that placing any screens on my phone was a complete waste of time however, it was a reoccurring customer for them. I am now trying to reach assurant to cancel my membership and am getting the run around. Asking me to email a certain place then re routing me to another. Call here when I call people on the other line its completely unrelated to assurant. Please dont invest time or energy into this company. Very shady practices.
