On November 2nd 2021, a local business sold me an engine for $3500. However nothing was ever shipped. When I contacted the business by phone on November 1st, I was informed that they had what I needed and it would ship within two days of receiving the funds. I was instructed to wire them the money as they did not accept credit or debit cards for that amount. On November 2nd 2021 the money was wired from my accountto the accountthey provided.I spent the next two months trying to contact them to get shipping or tracking information and I was met with excuses such as... Covid, the engine is still in the vehicle, we're short staffed, we lost it, we found it, but can't ship until after the holidays. The Man Who Sold me the engine goes by the name *****. He was polite and professional, but shortly after refused to answer any questions and I was transferred to a man named ****. Shortly after ****, I began to speak to someone named ****. In between I spoke with someone named **** who I'm pretty sure was ****, but using a different name. I tried contacting the San Diego PD and I was told they couldn't help because I didn't live there, I live in Michigan and was told to contact my ********** which wired the funds. I did, and all they were able to do was put in a request for a refund which didn't happen. Then I was told to file a complaint with the **** which I did... Reference # ********* to which I was told they wouldn't do anything unless they got more complaints.After contacting the **** a second time I was instructed to file a report with my local ***************** which I did on 3-8-22. Complaint # ********* with St. Clair **************** Office Deputy ***** ****. He was met the exact same responses from Vaquero as I was, which he was unable to help.I have contacted this business more than 80 times by phone. I was able to get a San Diego Sheriff to contact them twice, but it is still unresolved. He suggested I contact you.
