I bought a car from Shift in January of 2023 (2011 *** 335d vin: ***************** under my name ***************************). I gave them thousands of dollars as they required me to pay for the registration and taxes for them to handle. Fast forward a couple months and I had some questions on the documents. There response time was well into the weeks with almost anything I asked. After weeks/months of confusion and disarray I was able to get my necessary documents notarised and completed around late may. They received the documents in early June (around the 6th). I asked them if they had received my documents and it took them weeks again to respond. I had called, emailed, texted to no avail. There were points where I would sit on hold with the ************* for hours at a time and then they would hang up without ever picking up the phone. I was finally able to contact **** from Shift via email. He told me they had received the documents and told me to wait. After talking with him for weeks, he eventually told me if the registration was processing with the *** July 6th. I have not been able to get ahold of him since. I have called *** and they have no data on these documents. After putting aside numerous hours with hopes of getting any answers, I had finally gotten ahold of the Pomona (where I bought my car) office sales team (service no response). After bickering back and forth I was promised that the boss would give me a call immediately if I provided them my phone number, I was never called. As it sits I have no way to register my vehicle, no bill of sale for temporary tags, and no idea if my registration is even being worked on. I have paid them thousands of dollars and this is the worst customer service I have ever seen in my entire life. I simply need to know where my registration stands, how I can get the necessary documents for at least a temporary permit (I need a way to legally operate my vehicle, proof of sale/ownership, etc), and if my money is being put to use.

I purchased a vehicle from Shift on July 2, 2022. I have still not received the title to the vehicle. I have had to renew the temporary tags myself twice and no longer have an option to renew. The car is for someone under 21 so rental is not an option. Shift claims the county rejected their paperwork on initial filing, but that was over 2 months after purchase and making several calls. Every other time I call Shift to get an update on my tags, they just say they are awaiting the title from the **** I have a feeling there is a problem with the vehicles title, and they were not authorized to sell it in the first place. I paid for a car with a title and the contract clearly says shift will process the necessary paperwork. If this is not produced I should be able to return and receive a refund. Otherwise I am the victim of fraud and theft >$10,000.

Shift Operations is impossible to reach on the phone, and when you get someone, they pass you onto someone else that has no authority to help you. I've been trying for three weeks. They tell you to leave a message, and no one ever returns your call. The car I bought needed a repair and they told me to take it to one of "Their Auto Repair shops". I did. The shop contacted Shift with the repairs necessary.Shift refused the shops repairs and told me to bring the car back down to ******* office, about 25 miles away, knowing the car has an issue with engine shutting off while driving.I finally convinced them that the car was unsafe to drive on the freeway. After three + weeks of trying to the necessary repairs done, Shift has finally agreed to tow the car back to *******.

Please learn from my mistake! Not a company you want to work with! Oh boy where to begin! I was excited about this venture when I started the process of buying my Jeep. I had seen commercials of Carvana and companies like Shift and thought it might be the way of the future but I was so wrong. The reason I thought it would be a good idea is they guarantee two inspections so you have no surprises which seemed smarter then buying off the street and of course the safety of the return policy if its not a fit. The beginning process was easy, go figure, but once I received the car it went all down hill. First, when the guy pulled up with the Jeep I heard clacking but pushed it to the side from the initial excitement. Went to go take it for a test drive after the guy left and right away the brakes were squealing, but no problem figured maybe they needed to broken in. Well after two days I couldnt get over the clanking noise and had my boyfriend check it out right away he noticed the ball joint was done. Something youd think theyd catch during those two inspections. So, I reached out to the company on what the steps were to getting this fixed. I was instructed to get it checked by a mechanic and have the report sent over. Called around to different mechanics and the one that could see it was Off Road Warehouse but the soonest appointment they had was on Friday which was the day the return cut off. So, I contact ******* one of my points of contact and he insured me he had spoken to his manager and the return period wouldnt be cut off until the case was closed. Took it to Off Road Warehouse where they eventually found numerous problems pretty much the whole suspension was going to need to be replaced. Again how was this not caught during the inspection? Got back to ***** and ******* with the report. I let ******* know I was no longer comfortable or wanting to own the vehicle but he asked if I was possibly open and Rest of my review in attachment

I purchased a vehicle from Shift in April of 2022, which was then financed through Ally Bank.I have attempted to refinance the loan, but the new lending institution (First Tech ********************* sent the check to Shift in error. First Tech said that the refinance check was cashed, but Shift claims it was not. In order to proceed with the refinance, I have been told that the money must be returned in order to send it to the correct party. I notified Shift of this requirement and the address to which the check should be returned to on 7/27/2022. Since that communication, their customer service team has ignored my voicemails and emails and have not returned the payment. I expect that they did cash the check without consideration that a mistake was made, and are attempting to stall to avoid revealing this.

I purchased a vehicle during the month of June 2022 and was able to supply the company with the approved down payment to secure the vehicle. The company provided me with the financing information (my APR, Monthly payment, and what was being financed). Approximately three to four days later the company contacted me to inform me I would need a co-signer or I would need to return the vehicle. This company's process is very unprofessional and caused my family a great deal of stress. The company has harassed me about returning the vehicle thus breaking the contract we agreed to.

I purchased a vehicle online through Shift (shift.com) on 11/30/2021 and I still have not received my title, registration, or new vehicle plate. I have gone back and fourth with them through emails.I live in *********, ** and the vehicle was transported in from **********.Dealer Number YR8EC/0000094243; Stock #C102458; Contract #***************/1112623314 2018 GMC Terrain, VIN #***************** On 12/15/2021 I sent them the required Vehicle Inspection Certificate and Vehicle Inspection Report (emissions test) that they asked for (through a ***** envelope they sent me), I also sent them proof of insurance. On 2/18/2022 they responded to my email and told me it was still processing. On 4/5/2022 they responded to my email and told me that NV *** received the documents on 2/28/2022 and that it would take 4-6 weeks from that date.On 5/4/2022 they responded to my email and told me that they were missing the ** Emissions Certificate in order for the *** to complete the paperwork (I sent this to them back on 12/15/21). I resent it again to them via email.Still waiting.

I bought a used 2019 ****** Kicks from Shift on April 1st. Not a week later my front right tire kept leaking air. I contacted Shift to see if I could get a copy of their inspection because they brag about doing 2 of them, multi point inspections. I thought I might be able to see why the tire kept loosing air. One rep gave me a piece of paperwork via email about them adding oil. I asked them twice agin after that for the reports and nobody would reply. I decided to take it to ********* where for a small amount of money they do an inspection of the vehicle. My car is under a 30 day warranty because it is certified by Shift because of their inspections on it. Supposedly if anything came up in the 30 days they would simply replace it, specifically what I was told when I purchased the vehicle on 4/1/22. When I let Shift know I had the inspection done and my tire had a nail in it ( they drive the car to me to buy, not delivered on a truck ) I said they need to reimburse me for that, as well as pay for the other items that weee found in the inspection. All 4 tires were recommend to be replaced, two which are very bad. They said they weee only going to pay $250, no more. This was never stipulated in the 30 day warranty and they should have never delivered a car that needed 4 new tires! The car only have 17 tires which are expensive to replace and probably why they didnt and wont replace. This is ridiculous and is outside of their promised 30 day warranty, they need to replace the tires. They gave me $250 for the other work which I am getting done to the car.
