Last year, in the month of August, I paid Buildfire for an App that was never completed. They claimed it was completed but thats not true, I paid for a specialized App but was given an open ended App that was completely useless and nonfunctional. Yes, I signed an agreement with the sales guy who suddenly disappeared but claimed he no longer works for Buildfire; as soon as I paid $11,000 to the company. I trusted he was telling me the truth because I thought Buildfire was a reputable company. As soon as they delivered the App under a week for what should normally take a minimum of 4 months, I knew I was in trouble. My company was a brand new startup, that experience with Buildfire bankrupt my business, eventually, I had to shut the business down. I am not necessarily posting this complaint because I want them to refund me. I am letting the public know about this because I dont want Buildfire to defraud another person. They need to be stopped. They are very dubious!

I contacted Buildfire Software on November 21, 2023 when my challenged sixteen year old daughter inadvertently purchased Buildfire Software. Within 24 hours of purchase, I left a voicemail and received a return call from a Buildfire employee, I explained the problem, and she was going to escalate to management. The problem being my minor daughter had made an unauthorized purchase of software that she did not understand, and explained to her my daughter is in therapeutic setting five days a week and has no intent to use this software and was not able to understand the underlying terms and conditions that are masked under your offers of "free and no obligation" on your website, specifically:"How is Buildfire free.. what is the catch; how much does all this cost? Good news...There is no cost to develop on Buildfire.js. That's right 100% free. no gimmicks..There is a 14-day free trial available."I never heard back from Buildfire leading me to contact my credit card to open a dispute looking for resolution. Our bank has indicated that you have provided information indicating that we did not properly provide notice of cancellation to you....however it appears that there is no concept of a trial and your policy is a 'no-regret" transaction by your ******************************** disputed the credit card claim leaving me to reach out to Buildfire again. I received an email from ***, Head of Client Support stating that they take the matters seriously and would get back to me, but never did and I have tried to get in touch two more times with him. Technically, they charged me $5600. and are not getting back to me and are not interested in doing the ethical resolution.

Good Afternoon,Tourism Cares, 501c 3, subscribed to Buildup App. in 9.8.22. The employee that signed up, has since been fired. We have never had a good exp. with this app. We also have to play $60 a month for an add a plugin to help the app. work with apple. We have not used the app. We are still having a challenge recovering from the loss during covid, trying to reduce expenses to save staff, bare bones. We tried to cancel this subscription. Cost too high, we could not afford it. Started process 7.5.23. - Buildfire told us today that we did not submit in writing within 30 days, we can't cancel. Buildfire does not work for us. it never functioned properly. their CS is awful, it's 2K w/ a $60 a month plug in. Since it was the previous employee that subscribed with Buildfire up. We had no idea how to cancel it, what it cost to renew, nothing. On July 5th my collegue emailed buildfire to inquire about our subscription. She asked how long it was for, when the renewal period was and what the price was. She was NOT able to find any answers on the Buildfire website. On July 5th Ariane from Buildfire sent us a link to the document I uploaded "account information ********************". As you can see on that page, no where on that page does it say how to cancel or that we must cancel in 30 days. We saw the automatic renewal and the cost on this page. It has the wrong street address for us. We closed our office for good. We are only remote now. The expense to too high, we had to cancel. On 9.5.23 we canceled our subscription online. we were told we can not cancel within 30 days of renewal. we asked for a waiver of this requirement. We did not know as the collegue who signed up was fired. no where did it state this in the document we were sent in july. we had started the proesss in july. we are financially struggling. Buildfire said no, they will accept our cancelation for our sept. 8th **** renewal (a year from now). this is unacceptable and horrible business.

On May 27th 2022, ********* LLC entered into an agreement with Buildfire at ******************************************************************* to build and create a functional app to allow industry professionals to hire local workers on a per shift basis.Unfortunately, Buildfire has not performed well, and has not been able to build or complete the app as intended within the desired timeframe. I am disappointed because *** tried for two months to seek a solution and have only been pushed aside even further while more effort was made by them into collecting more money from us. The app is currently not functional according to the agreed upon intent and as a consumer I have zero faith that it will ever be.To resolve the problem, Im asking for a two month refund and to part ways amicably. *** tried now over three times to kindly request a refund and Buildfire has only presented more delays.

I engaged in Buildfire in August of ******************************* September 2021 we entered into a contract with the promise of a working app by January of 2022. The goal of the app is for shoppers to purchase a unique item, from a unique estate, and that unique item would not be available to be sold to anyone else. I have yet to have the contract honored, in fact, I have paid additional fees to ensure we would be able to get what I was promised and we still do not have a functional app. I have had multiple test runs, it's clear a glitch is in the system. I asked for the development team to watch a live test sale to help get to the root of the problem. It took 3 months to get someone to agree to this. The live test sale showed that the app does not function. It has now been a month and they are offering a refund for the customer support fee which is unacceptable as I should not even be paying a customer support fee for an app that does not work. They are currently trying to "let me out of the contract" which is clearly unethical because this would allow them to walk away from their responsibilities listed in the contract. I would like a full refund as I have not received anything that was promised to me, it has been a year since I engaged with them originally and I've given them plenty of times to deliver the promised product.
