On June 5th I went to this dentist for my wisdom tooth being infected ****************************** from it being impacted and infected, only one tooth. I had **rays done and only the Dental Assistant attended to me the whole time. Upon the return of the **rays the ** told me that I would be seeing the Dr via FaceTime on a computer screen, then was told I needed all 4 wisdom teeth extracted immediately and that it would be $2000. Out of pocket for the extraction and bone grafts, then another $500. For nitrous oxide, no sedation! Then they proceeded to make me put a down payment on it right then and there, $300. And then an additional $50 to hold my spot for my next appointment! I began to cry because I just dont have that kind of money out of pocket, hence the Medi-Cal needed, then the ** came into the room and asked why I was crying and I told her and she literally told me they are scamming you! And that nitrous does not cost $300. Nor do I need bone graphs for wisdom teeth, and that I cannot do a full 4 wisdom teeth extraction without sedation because it is basically oral surgery, and nitrous will not work, she also informed me that I did not need all 4 pulled at once, I could just do one or both bottoms since the top ones were not even close to coming out. And that this Dr made this decision based on never even looking at my teeth physically, never being in the room or talking to me personally, once I decided to leave after giving $300. I cancelled the next appt and proceeded to get my money back which has been a horrible hassle, and after reading several reviews on several different platforms I realized these people or this company should NOT be in business, they are scamming so many and I feel it needs to be reported and an investigation done, for poor medical practice, conning people out of money they dont have, you should read some of the reviews of this particular office, its unbelievable the things they are getting away with, I just want justice for us!

Zak Dental installed a crown within three years, My new dentist provider had taken x-rays and found that the crown was left open on the bottom and that there is current decay under the crown. I then followed up with ************** office informing them of the issues that my current dentist found. *********** offices said they would like to look at the crown and take their own x-rays to verify the issues. They informed me that if they found any issues that they are at fault with they will cover the replacement of the crown. Upon arrival they asked for my insurance information, I informed them that I already have a main provider and wanted to follow up on a potential bad crown that is less than five years old. they insisted on getting my insurance information. They took an x-ray but didn't consult me on anything. The following day they stated that they are not set up as the primary provider and are unable to assist without charging the insurance company. They then informed me that they will be billing the insurance company for the images taken. They will not schedule an exam without charging the insurance as well. The issue at hand is that my current provider already billed my insurance for x-rays and exams, They are already set up in the system. I'm really disappointed in the dental office and how they are taking care of the situation. My tooth is hurting and it's unfortunate that they are not standing behind their work. I plan on following up with the American dental association.

On July 29, 2022, at the appointment to have my son's wisdom teeth surgically extracted, I was charged $600 for sedation costs. I was confused because I knew ********* would pay for sedation as long as it was deemed to be a medical necessity, which it was. I asked the person at the front desk of the dental office why ********* isnt covering this charge and he told me that ********* denied covering that charge. So I paid the $600. When I got home I called ********* to ask why it wasnt covered and they informed me that Zak Dental NEVER REQUESTED SEDATION COST on the *** (treatment authorization request) form they sent in June 2022. They didnt request pre-authorization from ********* and then lied to me and said ********* denied coverage and therefore I would be financially responsible for the cost. In the past 26 days, I have made ******************************************* the office at Zak Dental. I have sent emails, left voicemails, and sent inquiries through the online portal, but they have all been in vain. Then on 8/25/22, I received a voicemail from **** who said that there is nothing they can do for me. They arent willing to fix their mistake at all. I requested a complete copy of my sons' dental records in the hopes that it will contain the information I need in order to request a reimbursement from *********, but I won't hold my breath. It is ILLEGAL for them to charge me and/or collect payment from me for a service that is covered by *********. I have lodged complaints with ********* and the Dental Board and I will continue to explore every avenue available to me because their actions and inactions for that matter are completely unacceptable.

I have requested itemized billing for a dental procedure I had beginning 11/2021, when I requested at my visits I was informed that an email had to be sent in order to request which was done by the office , I did receive an invoice with no payment posted, I requested again and was given another one with errors, I called and explained that I paid $679 on 10/27/21 and per their itemized receipt my service only cost $575 , and that they needed to correct that or refund me the difference, I have called left voice messages, email regarding this, with absolutely no response, Ive even requested the billing manager, nothing.. I still need a itemized **** to present to my insurance company, Ive done everything I can do and filing this claim is my final result to receive my difference of $114. Thank you for your assistance.

I've seen 3 different dentist, 2 specialist and because they shaved the tooth so much it is no longer good and only held in place with temporary glue! They cut me twice, hurt my lymph nodes, now I get reoccurring infections in that area! It's been 9 months unable to eat on my right side, jaw pain and reoccurring infections After seeing all those dentist/specialist in their office and they couldn't fix it, they wanted to do a rootcanal, I don't even need! Not only do I no longer trust them to touch my teeth anymore, they said they won't reimburse me or even discuss any options because I signed the forms. All I want is to go somewhere else to get this fixed! I want my life back! Unfortunately I don't have the money to do so myself without them reimbursing me! I want every penny mi insurance paid, the amount I paid out of pocket that totals approx $2,000 + an additional $1,500 for all I've indured ! They have also mocked my Yelp reviews and maliciously reported them as false to get them removed. All I wanted to do was warn others so they don't go through the same thing as I have They are trying to avoid accountability at all cost. All I want is what is fair, my money back, compensation and to have a normal life again

We paid last November for orthodontics for my daughter. We have had some appointments, but there are always issues with scheduling. They cancel appointments, they schedule appointments for 5 AM, the person working cannot schedule appointments that day, etc. We have complained, we have expressed frustration. She had an appointment scheduled for 9/16, which they canceled the morning of saying they would call to reschedule, which they didn't. They finally called after we asked for rescheduling, and acted like it was all our fault, and were going to schedule beyond what the orthodontist wanted. Now, they are refusing to respond to our requests for a call back to either reschedule or give us a refund. Either of the resolutions below would work, but they need to call us back. That's basic customer **********************.
