On February 28, 2023, Lincoln Finance Company entered into a Consent Order with the Department of Financial Protection and Innovation. The Order settles allegations that the business is in violation of state law prohibiting failure to transfer licensing information in regards to the Commissioners Order, CFL licensees were required to transition to the Nationwide Multistate Licensing System and Registry (NMLS) by December 31, 2021. Under the terms of the Order the business must pay an administrative penalty of $2,500.
On April 28, 2023, The Commissioner of Financial Protections and Innovation revoked the business' California Finance Law License number 6030009, due to the terms of this Consent Order.
This action is final.
