August of 2022, I hired Rivas Peralta Landscaping. If I could give a zero, I would for responsiveness, C/S and responsibility for work.I hired Rivas to fix a problem on a previous installation of DG (decomposed granite) a couple months prior. Previous install started moving like sand. The previous company lacked the expertise to correct the problem. Rivas Landscaping had good reviews. After the evaluation I was told that the previous DG looks like it had not been compacted enough. They said that they could compact it to be a hard surface. They suggested that I move out the flowerbed a few inches and add more gravel so that the water from the ***** would not affect the DG. I was pleased at the outcome..Fast forward to November 2022 when the rain started. DG erosion caused potential trip hazard in the yard... it was more then 3" deep in some areas!My first contact with ***** was in December 16th. Every contact to meet was initiated by me. Finally when ***** did call I was sited a host of EXCUSES from previous Landscapers work . . . to underground leaks . . . to gutters as to why the erosion was NOT a result of his work. The phone call ended abruptly. Not entirely certain he didn't hang up. All I wanted was the 'trip hazards' and a couple other problem areas fixed. I WAS NOT asking him to re-do the whole yard.January 18, his father finally came to meet me. The correction involved MORE $. I have heard nothing since January 18th!I long for the days when people/business took pride in their work and people had a real work ethic. I long for the days when consumers didn't have to fight to get what they paid for. The erosion is no fault of my own AND I am not unreasonable to ask that be fixed..It's taken me a minute to decide whether to write this review or whether to seek further action. Owner chose to be rude, ignore me and not deal with a customer issue. I would not recommend this company or DG installation!Sent from Mail for Windows
