Groves Capital handled a business mortgage for **. From the beginning, we mentioned this is a purchase through a C-corporation and, as W-2 employees of the corporation, we are simply coordinating the purchase on the company's behalf. We, as individuals, could not use corporate funds to purchase the rental property in our names because that indicates private use. Throughout the process, the loan officer made unilateral decisions that were absolutely not appropriate for our situation. The communication was poor, to say the least. We never received a settlement document until AFTER the time that we were originally supposed to be at our closing. The loan officer did not know the differences between an LLC and a C-corporation. After we explained why the mortgage had to ONLY be in the name of the company, after conference calls with the owner and both realtors involved, and after countless explanations of why the loan was only to be in the name of the company - including at the settlement table when we sent multiple requests for paperwork to be updated, the loan was still processed incorrectly and shows up on my personal credit report. That puts us in a legal predicament because, as employees of a company, we cannot use company funds to purchase anything as an individual. Groves Capital showed complete incompetence in knowledge, listening to customer's requirements, and following through with their promises and assurances. They flat out lied to us, from senior management down to the loan officer, in both phone conversations and in emails. ************************* and *********************** were the points of contact for our mortgage.
