Low battery warning light came on in vehicle. Called Land Rover 800 # for Land Rover San Diego. Spoke to Rep ** who told me that warning is considered an emergency and I need to go in for service. Called back for hours and spoke to Rep ** who transferred me to the ******************* Rep ** was able to fully describe the problem without me saying nothing more than it is a battery issue but told me that even though the service was covered by warranty, there ware no appointments until November (when the warranty will expire). Since I cannot safely drive my car with a low battery warning light, I brought the vehicle in on 9/18/23 at 2:30p to get the battery replaced at my cost. The battery was replaced but after a few minutes of driving, the light was on. Apparently, the complementary service check and the new installation did not address the issue. I paid for a new battery that I did not need, and the service check was apparently not a check because it did not resolve the problem or even acknowledge it.Business response

Customer was aware vehicle was under warranty still.
Since the vehicle is still under warranty it would take 4-6hrs for the battery procedure.
She did not have the time to wait. Service Advisor offered a Saturday appointment she said timing is not right.
She made the request to replace the battery. She had called the parts department on her own to check pricing and availability.
We got the ok from shop ******* for her to come in as waiter. All we did was replaced the battery that she request but didn't not do a diagnostic as we suggested which service advisor also made her husband aware of it before he paid for the service.Customer response

there was a consistent lack of clear communication and as a result the battery was replaced due to safety concerns. It was the only provided option that at the time meant the safe operation of the vehicle. However the resolution did not correct the issue and the warning light is still on.
