I went to PsyCare for an anti-depression prescription. I was asked to provide my debit card number in order hold my spot for the appointment. After the 15 minute appointment I was charged $256. I called and asked why the charge was so high. They would not tell me if my bill had been processed through insurance. I requested a paper bill. They refused, which is illegal in the ******************* to not provide an itemized receipt for healthcare. They said that the charge was pending review and that I would likely be issued a refund. The refund never came and it has been a month. They couldnt even tell me what the expected charge for subsequent appointments would be. This organization operates like a cartel charging whatever arbitrary amount they want directly to your bank card, not telling you if they went through insurance, and refusing to provide itemized receipts.
