      In July 2021, we hired Republic Moving and Storage to move and store the contents of our home until we could move into our new home in August 2021. The floors in our new home took 4 weeks to complete - so the movers unloaded our home contents in the garage except for the bedroom furniture. Upon unpacking, we noticed that items were damaged and other items were missing. We hired the supervisor of our move, Viao, for a day to help with the unpacking of the boxes in the garage and he identified the boxes with the stolen items were all packed by a new person on his team. The most valuable item was ****** diamond wedding ring valued at $5000. We reported this to Republic and filed a claim as well as filed a police report for the ring. Republic (also dba as ******* Moving) offered us $533 for the damaged items (there was a $250 deductible) and zero for the items stolen. My husband is a police officer with San *********************** and purposefully left $83 in cash in an envelope hidden in a folder and placed it in a dresser drawer in the Master bedroom closet. He did this intentionally to see if it would be stolen.Here is a list of items stolen:****** ring $5000 Portable Bose speakers $500 Daughter's iWatch $300 Cash $83 that **** planted Music stand $200 Here is a list of the items damaged:Entryway console table ** refrigerator missing middle drawer Glass lamp shade Golf Hat Fire safe key broken Step up ladder Daughter's Art project from 5th grade Plant stand zebra We paid over $10,000 for this move and would like to file a formal complaint with the BBB as well as ask for your assistance in getting us reimbursed appropriately.Attached is page one of the claim form we submitted.Please help us get this resolved.

      We are sorry ************* had some problems with her move and we pride ourselves on delivering 5 star service to our customers. We reached out to ************* immediately, as we take claims of theft very seriously. All of our crew members pass through training and extensive background checks. We also asked her to file a claim with the police department and we did an internal investigation which offered no evidence of theft. We do not show any of these items on the inventories and Mrs. ***** ************ were given 3 different documents which they signed, clearly stating not to pack valuables,like jewelry and electronics and that the customer understands and acknowledges.We did address the damage claim and offered above what is considered fair compensation based on the *** regulations and never received the required paperwork back to send the customer the final compensation for the damage.

      I was in ********* on 9/30/2021 to help my elderly mother move. She hired Republic Movers to help with the move. She as promised several things that they did not deliver on. She was told she'd need 8 wardrobe boxes and only needed 1 (charged for 8). She was promised her large TV and large mirror would be boxed for the move, neither were. We also inventoried all items and discovered she was missing at least 4 items after the move. She moved a total of 17 miles and not sure how you lose items in that short of distance.She made a phone call the day after to move, October 1, 2021, to report the missing items. When we did not hear back, I placed a call and sent an email. We were then sent an electronic form to be filled out. Today is October 13, 2021. Almost 2 weeks after her move and she has not heard anything. It's a shame when elderly people are taken advantage of. I feel that this is what has happened to my mother by Republic Movers.
