7-23-2024 Charges: 250$Hello. Im writing this email sleeping in my car because they never came after I paid them. They said someone would be here in 30 minutes and it was 380$ total but I had to pay 250$ upfront. I know its expensive but I figured its because they could do it so quickly. After 45 minutes I called them back and they said the money was non refundable, even tho no one ever came. Soon after I received a text saying it was 400$ now to come out. Ive been here for 6 hours and am gonna have to sleep in my car. They never sent me a receipt or anything but I will dispute the charges on my credit card. Not sure if Ill have to wind up paying tho.Initial Complaint

I recently contacted this company for towing services. During the initial call, none of their policies were disclosed to me. After being charged for the service, we managed to get our car started on our own and subsequently requested to cancel the charge. The representative assured me that the charge would be reversed, but it remained on my account.In a follow-up call to address this issue, I was informed by the customer service representative that it was my responsibility to read their policies online. When I calmly requested that she not raise her voice, she became belligerent, stating, "You don't know what yelling is," before abruptly hanging up on me.This experience was highly unprofessional and frustrating. The lack of transparency, poor customer service, and failure to honor their commitment to cancel the charge are deeply concerning.Business response

Hello,
Although our policies are very clear, once a tow truck is dispatched out to your location we do not offer a refund. We offer a credit for future services. We still refunded this client. The bad review is intended to harm aour businesses that did everything we can to remedy the situation.

The said company was contacted on 2/19/24 at 1:10 pm to schedule a tow truck to help my daughter. Company provided with all necessary & required info to get towing service set up. Company charged my credit card $249 to join program. We were informed that the tow company would call in 45 minutes to 1 hour to confirm pick up. 2 hours passed and no one called. Nearby roadside company was contacted again to see if there was a problem. They said no problem, just wait for your truck to call. Another hour, no call. The company was contacted again and were asked to provide name and number of tow company that was supposed to pick us up. We called **************************** said they had been contacted, but they were not provided with any information, including our location, & were not asked to dispatch a tow truck. The company was contacted and asked to cancel request and membership due to the company not providing a service, which they were paid to do. The company said the $249 was not refundable. The membership was canceled due to the company being too inept to dispatch a tow truck and therefore unable to provide a service. There is nothing on website or on call about a non-refundable fee. The company was contacted again on 2/19/24 to request refund. I left message. Still no call back. Contacted via email 5x with all above info. The companys response was you have been taken off the list. More emails for refund. No response. I called the number for billing provided by dispatch, and the call cant be completed. I called the number on the email I got from them and that number is a fax number. Left another message with dispatch today to talk to supervisor. No response. This company was not able to do what we paid for: set up a tow truck. I would not pay a painter who didnt paint my house, X-rays that were not taken, or swim lessons without a pool. I buy a service. No service here. These people should not be paid. Please advise.Initial Complaint

Contacted dispatch, called three times asking for an update or ETA, the dispatcher kept gas lighting ** saying they would call us back. When I would call an hour later, the dispatcher pretended to not have any recollection of the conversation. After 3.5 hours in the cold and no update or communication, I contacted **********************. What *********** was dispatched by this company never made it to the scene.Initial Complaint

I contacted this company for roadside assistance. I am currently stuck on the highway and three hours later no truck has come. The "dispatch" Symone is no longer answering the calls to any number.This company is a scam.Initial Complaint

I called Nearby Roadside Assistance (aka NRA Dispatch) to help me get car unlocked. They took my money but left me stranded. I had diabetic meds in the car.Initial Complaint

Nearby Roadside Assistance did not notify me at any point that I was being enrolled in a membership program. In 2022, I called this company to tow my daughter's car and had no knowledge of being automatically enrolled in a membership. When being alerted by my credit card company of a suspicious charge, I had my credit card cancelled in fear of my account being compromised. Nearby Roadside Assistance did not try to contact me regarding my membership (that I did not know of) before or after the autopay was cancelled. When speaking to their customer service Manager, she stated that once the payment was not received, they have the right to cancel the membership, but would not issue a credit for the yearly fee that was cancelled.
