The Dear Karen H*******, President, Storage West: I am a disabled person who was denied access to my drive up storage unit #*** at your Rancho Bernardo location located at ***** ****** ****** *** ****** *****. When I tried to access my unit, a large camper would be parked in front, blocking access. The camper would be parked with slide out out, and electrical cord plugged into the building. When approaching the owner of the camper, the camper became very irate that I asked him to move, I became frightened and worried for my own personal security. See picture: I approached the manager, *******, but he sided with the camper putting into the file that the camper was only there to pick up and drop off, denying that the camper was camping, even though photographic evidence shows otherwise. After a few days and worrying that my belonging and my person was not safe with this situation of a camping in front of my unit, I had movers go in and take out all my belonging to another location free of campers. I asked *******, the manager, for resolution after pointing out I had taken pictures that were in opposition of what he entered into the record. He offered me a $364.95 refund, but said I would have to wait ten days for a credit card credit to my card ending in 4295. The refund never came. See picture of move out receipt: On Nov 28, I spoke with Larry at the help number for Storage West. Larry indicated that the refund had not been processed from the Rancho Bernardo to corporate office and he would contact ******* the manager to contact me, for which I never received a call back. Larry also suggested the Dispute Resolution option, which has led to this letter and a complaint to the the BBB seeking resolution. The only action I am seeking is for Storage West to process my refund of $364.95 as promised by *******, the manager.
