Absolute trash. They will not stop calling me and claim that I clicked on a link to be notified. They know way too much about me. I have asked not to be contacted multiple times. Blocked all numbers they call from but they keep calling and won't stop. This is a huge scam and should be closed down.Review from Floyda L

Thank you for helping me discharge my $216k student loans debt. It took approximately 2 years to complete the process dealing with two schools. My ability to get a home without having the large student loans debt on my credit report.Review from Sandra M

Hi *****,Yes, we do offer a document preparation service for clients who are eligible for assistance with their loans. We only reach out to people who have explicitly filled out a form and requested to be contacted. If you no longer wish for us to reach out, you simply request to be taken off of our list. This will mitigate any concern you have for SpamReview from Carl W

Guys if it sounds too good to be true, it almost assuredly is. While it's generally not illegal to charge for student loan help, many of these companies also engage in fraudulent and deceptive behavior.Warning signs/things to report:Company claims to "work with" or partner with the ********** of ********* or any of the student loan servicers Asks for a power of attorney over your loan accounts Asks for any of your Federal Student Aid account information or other passwords or PINs Makes you agree to a longterm contract for their services with significant penalties for breaking it early Discourages payment by credit card favoring debit cards or ACH withdrawals directly from your bank account, since it's easier for scam victims to reverse credit card payments Many of these companies ask for a large up-front enrollment fee anywhere from $600-$1500 and then a ongoing monthly fee as well. They often imply that the monthly fee is actually your student loan payment. For these fees they will consolidate your federal loans. which you can do easily for free! at the ********** of *********'s site and often put the loans in forbearance or on an incomedriven repayment plan so no payment is due but interest is still accruing and take your money every month to monitor the account i.e. do nothing in addition to taking your money for trivial services, these companies can harm you by taking actions that are not in your favor. For example, consolidating your loans when it is not a good idea, denying you access to forgiveness programs you *** be eligible for, and keeping you in the dark about your optimal repayment strategy. They make money by withholding useful information providing onesize fitsall advice that *** or *** not apply to your situation and making generic threats to scare you into paying more once you realize that you've been fleecedReview from Angela R

I was told that I qualified for student debt forgiveness since my school closed. They said that I needed to pay for 6 months in order to have my loan discharged. There was a lot of paperwork and it all seemed legit. But when I try to contact them, I can never get a hold of anyone. I am not able to leave a voice message. I tried different numbers that were provided. Even the phone number on their website. When I called that number. One of the counselors text me asking if I needed something. So I texted her back with no response. I have tried a few times trying to get ahold of someone without any luck. I am trying to get a full refund that I paid out to them but I am unable to reach anyone.United Aid Group Response

I have to be honest, when I was told that i would have to pay for administrative services in order to put in a request to have my loan discharged I was very skeptical; however due to my loan amount, I felt it was work the risk. It was a lot of initial paperwork, and the process seem to take a long time; however that was fully explained to me beforehand, so although I didn't understand why it would take so long, at least I was aware.Low and behold, I received a letter in the mail, about a year or so letter, saying that my entire $25,000 had been discharged! I am so grateful, **** knows, I can use that relief. Kudos to the United Aid Group, you did a wonderful job by me and my family.United Aid Group Response

It was so much easier to pay united aid group to handle my claim instead of doing it myself, which was super confusing and time consuming. I got a letter from ****** confirming my loans are forgiven and that I'm getting $2291 refunded!Review from Sarah D

My Spidey senses should have went off when asked for my full social. ***** expected me to pay $899 for their services I asked what that covered and he said administrative expenses. Talk about predatory and trying to push this before covid forbearance is lifted. I told him my husband is on strike and we have a toddler with a birthday and his answer was lets set this up three weeks from now! I just was. Ot signing on a dotted line and on middle of the night decided to do some homework. Im very concerned about the safety of my identity now. DO NOT FALL FOR THESE PREDATORY SCAMMERS!!!United Aid Group Response

Hi *****, we always carefully review our loan counselors calls to make sure they are handling the clients in an ethical and professional manner. We do apologize if you had a bad experience speaking with one of our counselors but this does not justify a review with false claims that we are scammers. Has there been any monetary loss on your behalf? We do our best to advise and help our clients navigate the document preparation process properly. If a client is not happy with any services rendered we always work with them to resolve the solution or refund them. If you have any other questions or concerns about our services do not hesitate to contact our support team for assistance. We will do an internal investigation regarding this call and make sure our counselors are informed and aware of the consequences that will come if they do not handle our clients in a professional manner. Thank you for your feedbackReview from Dawson S

UAG is about as shady as it can get. The 5-star reviews are very obviously fake, especially when the only other reviews are 1-star reviews calling them a scam. Looks like they are scrambling to "up" their review score in a disingenuous manner. Since I graduated from university over a year ago I've been targeted by UAG several times a week (sometimes several times a day) via incessant phone calls. They call from different random numbers, and I imagine they spoof phone numbers (a shady sales tactic). I've worked in sales since graduation, so it's fairly easy for me to spot their shady and "scammy" practices. They claim that I requested information from them, which is not the case. I assume they've bought my data from some third party. I've repeatedly told them I'm uninterested and did not request info, yet they still call me almost daily. It is as if they think annoying people will make them buy their services. Speaking of their services, they try to sell you something that you are very easily able to do yourself FOR FREE. If you've made it to this point (where you're looking at BBB reviews of this company that keeps spam-calling you), I wish you Godspeed in your battle against them. If you weren't convinced they were a scam before, then hopefully you are now. Best of luck, and I eagerly await UAG's response to this review.United Aid Group Response

Hi Dawson, We want to make it very clear that we do not make unsolicited phone calls. Every person that we contact has filled out a detailed we form and explicitly requested to be called. If you no longer wish to be contacted, it’s as simple as calling in, sending an email or answering one of our calls and requesting to be placed on the DNC list. We take the Do Not Call requests seriously and do no contact people who request to unsubscribe and have all contact rescinded. In regards to the services we provide, we make it very clear that people can do this themselves, however, many do decide to work with us because we provide an extra layer of guidance and means to navigate the application to better improve chances of a loan dismissal. The same concept would apply in a scenario where someone is paying for a service to do your taxes or working with another document preparation company such as Legal zoom to fill out paperwork that one can theoretically do themselves. If any of our clients are not happy with our services, we stand by our satisfaction guarantee and offer a complete refund. We understand that many of the people we work with have already been scammed by their for-profit institution and understandably have their guard up when we work with them during this process; however, that is not the case with UAG. Your scam claims are not credible and we ask that you contact our customer support team so that we can place you on our DNC list and resolve any other concerns you may have. We apologize for any misunderstanding or unwanted communication. As long as you communicate with us we will do the same to resolve any issues.United Aid Group Response
