      In 2019 I booked dinner cruise for 4 - I had to cancel for family health reasons. They refunded in form of gift card Early 2020 I rebooked for Aug. Got charged an additional fee- landing fees went up. Paid it. Canceled b/c of covid. Again refund in a gift card. Rebooked for Aug 2021. Again charged another increase landing fee. Paid it. Before cruise I changed reservation to 3 people. The refund was in form of gift card again. Attempted to use credit on cruise for enhancements on our cruise but due to computer error on their end they were unable to honor the gift card. NOW they refuse to put credit on my credit card because the cruise in ********************************************************************************* to speak with her manager. They had NO issue charging me more $, twice, for same cruise due to increase fees but refuse to credit my card when they had computer problems and unable to honor the credit on their gift card during my cruise.

      Like others who have slammed Hornblower Cruises I am furious and shocked at their rip offs. My husband and I booked a lunch cruise for our 40th wedding anniversary, we also paid an additional $84 for for the Bay Breeze Package which basically was a window seat. It was a little windy that day, but nothing to stop even a small boat from going out. We boarded about 20 minutes before sailing waited to leave. About 30 minutes later we were told it was too windy to leave the port. What total rubbish, it was exactly the same wind that we had stood in waiting to board. They found a way to keep our money, not pay docking fees, not use fuel and not have staff on board. Meanwhile, we are sitting looking at the restaurant across the water getting exactly the same view as us, with a better meal (the food was very average) and got no cruise. We paid $329 for this!! I requested a refund for our window seat ONLY and was rudely turned down by email, it said: "We understand that your experience was not the one you had hoped for due the cruise being dockside. We will not be offering a refund as you had your tickets scanned and completed the cruise. The offer of 25% off of a future cruise is the compensation that is being offered. I replied: Had we been informed prior to having our tickets "scanned and completed" that the boat would not be leaving dock we would have chosen a different date, but we were not given that opportunity, therefore how can you use that as an excuse not to refund a relatively small portion of the ticket? And, I point out again THERE WAS NO CRUISE, there was a lunch. Your ads promote a CRUISE, that means moving in water, we didnt. I am not asking for anything other than a refund for the expensive window seat, not exactly trying to rip you off, can you say the same? Their response to that was: "Case #******** Has Been Closed. Rip off artists who are getting away with it.
