Domestika made an unauthorized charge to my bank account for a subscription to a "DOMESTIKA PLUS" plan that I never requested like it did to many other customers. That caused me to close my bank account to prevent any further debits from DOMESTIKA.Now DOMESTIKA is not giving me the refund for that unauthorized charge and not answering my requests

I did not authorize a charge $99.99 on my credit card from Domestika on May 13, 2024.I have purchased classes in the past from Domestika in a range of $6 - $12, but never $99.99 for a membership.Domestika is more than welcome to check my logins, and they will see that I have not even used any of their classes except the ones that I have purchased. I have spent a considerable amount of time leaving voicemails and sending emails to Domestika regarding this charge of $99.99, and no one has responded them for weeks. Domestika does not have poor customer service, they just do not have any customer service.Sadly, it looks like there have been at least 10 other people that have filed this same claim with the BBB regarding non-authorized charges from Domestika on their credit cards - with no one reaching out to rectify the situations. All I want is to get my $99.99 back that I did not authorize.

Hi,I can not get a hold of anyone at Domestika. They charged me for an annual membership. I did not agree to this. The day they charged my card (May 23rd 2024) I tried to send an email to them to request a refund. Their website is awful. I could not find a phone number to call. The emails I found online - one was returned and the other email/form on their site just gives an ** bot response with no way of actually talking to a person which I am sure is intentional on their part. I have tried to email/form in separate email threads twice but after the ** response no one will response. It is not a no reply email. They are receiving my inquires but are not responding. I need the refund. It is a lot of money to me. They will not communicate with me in any meaningful way. I tried contacting them on May 23rd, 28th and 31st, June 16th in the first email thread and then in the second email thread on June 16th thinking maybe my original email thread was overlooked somehow.I thought they were a good company and have purchased several of classes from them but now because of this issue I researched them and they appear to do this to a lot of people. I emailed them the day they charged my card. There is no reason other than greed that they will not refund or communicate with me now. Please help.Crystal

I paid for a class on their site for 5.99. They sent me an email that they charged me over ****** for a plan that I didn't sign up for. I never received notice from them about this. When I contacted them they said they didn't charge it but then I received an email stating the benefits of the membership that I just purchased (which I didn't). I realized that they are holding my cc information and asked them to remove it from my account because there is no way to remove it or even gain access to update the cc information and remove it from my account with them. I emailed them four times with the request to remove my payment information. The last two dates were on June 7th and June 14th. There is no customer support phone number. I also asked them to remove my account completely from their site because I no longer trust them. They are not responding. The last email I sent was on June 14th notifying them that if they did not respond to my request, I would contact the BBB. And here we are.

I purchased a course. I had done so in the past with no problem. This course was deeply discounted but I thought it was a loss leader so Id buy more courses. Instead I unwittingly bought a subscription!! Did not know this until I received my credit card payment. Tried to cancel at that time but was unable to do so. I would like a refund of full amount or at least a prorated refund. Im pretty sure this violates FTC rules.

I started a trial subscription to Domestika Plus. I received the attached email saying my subscription had ended, that indicated I needed to activate a subscription with the "Yes, I want to upgrade to Plus!" button. I did not activate, but was charged anyway. The company provides a mechanism for a refund (***********************************************), but it doesn't work if you have initiated a dispute with PayPal. And PayPal won't refund because I hadn't cancelled. But why would I cancel a subscription that had already ended? Please help me get a refund. If you look online, you will see that there is a history of this type of behavior by Domestika.

When I signed up for a course, this company automatically signed me up for a "Pro" subscription. They did not send me any notification for the upcoming payment due which they say that they do. I see many people have had issues with their new tactic for getting more subscription subscribers. I do not use their product enough to warrant this price.I am on Social Security and to have this amount automatically, without warning, come out of my account is devastating. I canceled immediately through both Paypal subscription and their website.Since my cancellation was the same day as the payment, I should be given a refund immediately. I will never use their service again.

They put a yearly subscription (with 30 day trial) package in my cart when I was buying a course without my knowledge. I had absolutely no idea this was put on my receipt as I didn't put it in there and because it had a 30 day trial, there was no additional charge on the total of my receipt. When these 30 days were up, I didn't even receive an email that my credit card was charged $130 CDN. I only found out when I saw a charge on my credit card. When I contacted them, they said they can only help me within 7 days of the 30 day trial period ending. I shouldn't be charged for something I never asked for. If I am, I should at least receive a receipt for it so I can ask to be removed from the service within a reasonable time. So many people from several countries have had the same issue and the company is not doing anything to help. There is a ************** solely dedicate to this scam and how frustrated people are for being charged something without their knowledge. It's simply wrong.

I made a purchase for an online class for $16. 98 on March 7th, 2024. I did not sign up for any further services at that time. the company claims that I agreed to a "free trial" of a subscription. I had no knowledge of this. At approx 9:30pm May 11th I received a notification from Paypal that I had authorized a payment of $99.99 for Domestika. I researched this and emailed the company. I made several attempts to stop this payment with no success. The email responses that I received stated that they don't offer refunds, but also stating that if I wish to receive a refund I can follow the prompts, which i did, however the "click here" button was not present. I attempted several times none the less to cancel this unauthorized subscription, with no success. I tried to call them as well with no answer. My husband assisted me with research and discovered that if a person makes a purchase on a laptop, there is a tiny button at the bottom of the screen that automatically signs them up for this subscription. This button however is not present when purchasing a class on a handheld device, thus I was signed up without my knowing or consent. I have been able to contact my bank however have had to pay fees in order to stop this payment from going through. the Domestika website will not let me delete my paypal account from their site. If I close my account all together, i will loose the previously purchased classes, so they have me in a bind. The bahavior of this company is sneaky and inappropriate and needs to be resolved. People should not be charged + signed up for subscriptions through unknowing practices. I feel that Domestika is ethically inappropriate by using this sneaky method to take money from people. I feel that the company needs to adjust this program to make absolute sure that people are signed up for a subscription only when it is wanted. My account remains open and states that my subscription wont be canceled until 12/05/2025

On March 25, 2024 my credit card was charged $99.99 for a "Domestika Plus" subscription. I did not knowingly sign up for this service. I had recently purchased a single class from Domestika, but that is all. I suspect there was a box I needed to un-check during that purchase which opted me in for "Domestika Plus", but this would be a deceptive business practice. I did not want, and have not used, this service.I have not been able to reach a person at Domestika by phone, and the emails I have sent were first answered with no useful information, and then not answered at all.I simply want a refund.
