Because they didn't answer their phone, I drove to their store. No salesperson was available on the floor, so I asked at the counter if ***************** could help me locate items and tell me if they were in stock. He said yes.I asked ************* if, should an out of stock item become available, could I later exchange the second-choice item. He told me, 'No, all sales are final. They do not allow returns or exchanges.'I proceeded to provide a list of items I hoped to purchase. He interrupted me, to help another customer exchange an opened item, without the receipt.When ************* finished with the other customer, I continued to provide the item numbers for things I hoped to purchase.He interrupted me again, to tell me that this kind of check 'wastes too much time and [he] has a lot of customers.' I reminded him that my driving to the store was a waste of my time, but I had to do so because no one answered my repeated calls. Calls were shunted to a full voicenail box.I tried to find out about the stock of another item, and asked how it compared with a different one, and ************* interrupted me and told me to do my own research before coming to his counter. I reminded him that I had done research, which is how I knew the item numbers, that there were no salesperson on the floor, and that he said he would show me the items when I first came to the counter. Again he complained that I was wasting his time.The store did have the penultimate item I hoped to purchase. After asking about the last item on my list (which they didn't have), I said I would purchase the trim kit (the previous item that he said they had in stock).************* told me that they did not have the trim kit. I reminded him he just identified it as being in stock, and read him the item number. "I just looked that one up" was his reply. Again I said I wanted to purchase it.The whole experience was horrible. This store has better prices than most, but the lack of basic customer service (at least by *************) is appalling.(A cautionary note about their charging practices: beware - they overcharge for items; despite being illegal in CA, they do not charge based on the displayed price of an item.)I will never give my business to this store again. I discourage others from patronizing this store as well.
