I purchased a new *** for a Mac computer from SkyStarTrade on October 11, 2021 - Order# ******. The part is supposed to come with a warranty. Their website states the warranty is 180 days, if you search for "warranty" in the Knowledge Base. This *** failed on December 8, 2021. After contacting the company and supplying photos, they approved a warranty refund, pending inspection. However, after they received it, they changed their story and said that the *** is damaged. Having worked on ************* for over ten years, I know how to spot physical damage on an ***, and it was not damaged. I asked them to provide proof of the damage with photos (easily demonstrated by applying light pressure to the damaged area, if it's not obvious enough). However, they refused, and they said they would have to send it off for testing in China to obtain proof of damage, which would take 3 months. The fact that they had to send it away to find proof of damage indicates that they do not have any proof currently, and they are just trying to avoid refunding the *** or replacing it. I pressed them on the issue quite a bit, but they were always indirect and refused to give an explanation. They offered me a small, $100 coupon code as compensation, but I do not have any faith in purchasing from them any longer. I did, however, check on the coupon code today, and they have removed it from my account (I never used it). The original part was $333.67. Their website is skystartrade.com. Thanks in advance for your help. While I would love to be compensated for the lost money, I also just want to make sure this business doesn't trick anyone else.
