They mentioned a 60 day money back guarantee and all their lines are conveniently busy and you just talk to an operator during normal business hours. No one seems to be actually working the phones.Business response

I have cancelled my subscription to Guitar Tricks on 3 different occassions only to have them continue to bill me. this is a racket. I followed all of the cancellation steps but I just saw that they are billing me again for $19.99 again! If you look online, you see they do this to many people. They need to be stopped.Business response

Thanks for letting us know about this challenge with our subscriber. Weve looked at our email logs, phone logs, and do not see any communication from *********************** with email address: ***************. Both that name and email address are on none of our databases. Thus, we were not able to locate any Full Access accounts associated with this email address in order to process this.
We would be happy to help cancel this person's account once and for all, and issue them a refund for their last 60 days of subscription, as a courtesy.
In order to assist we need the following information:
-The OTHER email address he used to register
-The OTHER username that he used to register (this would be in a "Welcome to GuitarTricks" letter in their email archives)
-The last four digits on the card being charged and the FULL NAME as it appears on the card
-The date and amount of the last transaction.
-If paying with PayPal, the email address that he uses for PayPal.
IMPORTANT: Did he sign up with one of our apps via iTunes or GooglePlay??
Let us know what you or they come up with so that we can help get this resolved.

To Whom It May ********* am filing a complaint against Guitar Tricks of ************* for not delivering services as promised. I am seeking a partial refund.On September 10, 2022, I purchased a one-year subscription for $143.20 to learn to play the guitar. I am a beginner so learning the fundamentals is essential. One of the most important fundamentals is scales. Guitar Tricks has a feature it calls the Toolbox. In that toolbox is a web application called Scale Finder. It allows you to find a scale and print out a scale chart that can be used for practice.On September 25 I submitted a help desk request because this feature was not working. They responded,...we just did an upgrade of our Guitar Tricks site on a new server. A handful of errors have been found and they are being worked on. Hopefully, with this upcoming week, things will be much more back to normal. Thank you for your patience!I asked when it would be fixed and was told, ...the error has been added to the 'bug fix' list the tech staff keep. ...I do not have the info on when this particular error would be fixed.I responded, that they should pay me, $19.95 per month until that feature was fixed.Their response,This would not be a deal-breaker for subscribership as there are thousands of lessons and almost a thousand songs. You can cancel ... within 60-days and get a full refund. Sorry, this is the best assurance we can offer.Upon reflection, while $19.95 is their monthly subscription charge, I realized thats not what I paid. What I paid comes out to $11.93 per month. I paid full price and I expect to have all the services promised. As they note in their correspondence, they do have other things of interest on their site that I will take advantage, but it is only a partially functioning site, therefore they only deserve partial payment. I want them to refund me $8.00 per month for every month this feature doesnt work.*****************************Business response

We have already handled this for the subscriber, by canceling the subscription at her request and providing a 100% refund of the purchase. She has been made whole. Sorry for the trouble, but this is settled on our end.

I want the complaint on record. Theyve already told me they wont honor my request. However, I think when other people look them up they wont find a blemish free record. Their customer service is abysmal. People need to know that. If you could take all my personal information out of the complaint I would appreciate it.
