The moving company Truket (https://www.truket.com/) did thousands of dollars worth of damage to our personal and real property, caused us to incur several hundred dollars of additional expenses, forced us to file a police report, and does not appear to be licensed by the CA **************************************. Before the move, we did not receive any of the documents that ** requires movers to provide to consumers. The dates of service were 05/28 - 05/29 and the company has not responded to our request for reimbursement. They did not finish packing, disassembling, or wrapping our furniture on Saturday despite leaving in the mid-afternoon, and they did not finish the job on Sunday as promised. On Sunday, the moving crew showed up almost two hours late with a 16 truck (too small, despite having seen the packed house on Saturday to estimate the required truck size needed for moving in one trip, and quoting us with a 24 truck). In the middle of unloading the second trip, on Sunday at 10pm, 3/4 of the crew members walked off the job without notifying us, abandoning the truck (blocking multiple driveways) and abandoning the fourth crew member who did not speak English or had water, food, or transportation home. The movers did not pay the fourth crew member for his 12 hours of work. This information was filed under police report ********** (*********, **). We had to drag the rest of our furniture off the street, leaving our baby unattended inside the house. We had to file a police report, pay for the fourth workers transportation home, and hire another moving company to complete the job. The crew was extremely unprofessional: three of the four movers admitted that they were not employed by the company, only hired for the day, and did not have previous moving experience. The crew did not bring TV boxes that were promised, shoe covers, or floor runners. They did not wrap the majority of our furniture to protect it and damaged almost, all of it, some very severely.
