Deel.com (Deel **** handles payroll payments for the company I am contacted with (Modsquad). Since the card I paid $10 for seems to only work sometimes (it is trash) I am forced with have to withdraw my paycheck each time. This is ok even though they charge a fee and has usually gone smoothly. But on April 28th, I requested the withdraw to the same payment/card as I have used multiple times in the past and it is now 2 days later and I still don't have my paycheck. The company is claiming that the payment processor is doing security checks etc... and to be patient. The most I have ever had to wait for these "checks" was like 2 hours before I got my funds. This time, 2 days. Nobody at the company seems to be able to really tell me anything except that it is being worked on. I just want my paycheck. Nothing on my account has been changed in months and the card I requested the payment to go to has been used for previous paychecks many times.

I've heard Deel.com from a local founders meeting. Other founders recommended Deel to me as it provides an easier way to provide payroll service for remote teams and also providing amazing perks for startups.I've registered Deel 2 weeks ago, filled our basic company/shareholder information and waited for the account activation. But over 2 weeks passed, there's no any response from Deel at all until I contacted the customer support yesterday. The support agent told me that we need to complete an additional Deel Enhanced Due Diligence check in order to have our account fully activated. We've submitted everything it asked within 30 minutes.Things happened today. I was asked to submit my government issued photo ID AGAIN and also a selfie with holding a note saying "for Deel" with today's date. I can totally understand that because I know most financial institutions need this for KYC/KYB purposes. The thing is, Deel is still asking for additional information. The verification agent asked me to provide a detailed bank transaction statement, which is confidential for our company as we are not willing to disclose our exact financial flows. After my response of we can only provide bank letters/statement of balances to prove our business banking existence, Deel rejected our account activation request with no reason disclosed. It's the first time we met among all financial related institutions. Does a financial institution(NOT EVEN A BANK) have the right to check our internal transaction flows? And even take that as a factor of KYC/KYB process? Please my fellow founder friends, be careful and thoughtful before you registering for Deel. No one knows what are they going to do with your detailed business transaction data.
