I purchased a large Fiddle Leaf fig plant (ficus lyrata) from The Mellow SF on June 18, 2021 for $220+tax. When the plant was delivered on June 22, it looked relatively OK but a number of the leaves had some ***** spots. I followed all of the directions for the care of this plant that were posted on the company's website. Within several days, leaves began falling off the plant. Within two months, more than 1/3 of the leaves had fallen despite following the care directions provided. The website indicated that "If you have purchased a plant from us, were always available to help with any Qs." I reached out via email on 8/24 and 9/16 with photos of the plant's declining health and asked for help with the plant's care; I did not receive a response to this outreach. I reached out again in late September and finally received a response from ******************* on 9/27 where he said he would "do his best to help me get the Fiddle back to good health." He provided some basic care tips which I promptly followed. I responded the following day with another question about the fiddle leaf but did not receive a response. I reached out again on 10/14 sharing the dire status of the fiddle leaf fig which only had one leaf. I have only received one response to at least 5 requests for help and support. Unfortunately, the last leaf fell off the plant just last week and the plant appears dead.
