I contracted with Cross Country Relocation to move from *********** to a point near ******* yet to be determined. That contract included 1 month of storage while I found a new apartment. Cross Country picked up my stuff from LA on Jan. 4th this year, and rather than store it for a month as agreed, shipped it to the ******* area immediately making me scramble to find storage and to hire another company to complete the move.At the time, Cross Country said if I submitted my receipts to them they would reimburse me for those extra expenses. In actual fact, they said they will not reimburse more than $500, despite my cost being an extra $1500.In addition, since March, they have not yet sent that $500 check. Today they told me it was tied ** in accounting.Everything about this move has been unacceptable, including losing some of my possessions with no possibility of recovery. I will never use this company again.

Job#CC8891440.This moving company committed to provided a moving service which originally quoted $1598.00/262 cubic feet and no $350 shuttle fee after checking my address. We have provided how many items and all the item dimensions when we got the quote and the quote $1598 is for 262 cubic feet according to the sales department. We had shipped only these items. On pickup date 3/19, they loaded half of my goods then refused to continue if I don't agree to pay more, the new total was $2800 and they never explained any of the charges which is how many cubic feet they are charging me. If I need to cancel then I need to pay $1000, then they will unload my goods. I was forced to continue. The sales department rejected and refused to help me or answer my phone calls. One day before the delivery day, I was told that I must pay $350 shuttle fee otherwise they won't delivery to my door and I need to pickup my goods by myself. But they promised no shuttle fee at the beginning after checking my address. At the end, I have paid the total of $2948.02 (3/14 $298, 3/21 $1500, 4/9 $1150.02). And all of our furniture was damaged, after the delivery, the whole company including sales department, dispatch they all refused to help me or they don't even answer my phone after I called many times. I have $5906.16 of damaged items.

I hired this company to move my house hold items from ****************, ** to ********, **. My estimate was *******, based on 2 filled to capacity storages one being 8x10 and the other 10x9. I paid a deposit of *******. My items were being moved from a storage facility and was packed on to the truck by ***** and his team on Feb 13th 2022. I was on the ***** with ***** ***** number ************ about ****% of the 3 hour time it took to pack my items while my nephew being there as well to oversee everything. At that time my items were reassessed by ***** and his dispatcher *** ***** number ************ and my charges were increased by ****** totaling ********. All this and with the understanding that my items would then be brought directly to my home as referenced by *** who stated that he already dispatched my items on Monday. When scheduling this transaction, I asked *****, the person I initially spoke with to schedule my move does this company warehouse the items? I asked because of the repeated mention of warehousing in the contract and I asked do they contract out for the actual transporting of my items. He assured me that the items would be taken directly to me and not contracted out and that the warehousing is listed in case this is needed by the customer. He even stated that he personally knows the movers. It took from Monday (as stated by ***) 2/13/2022 to 2/19/2022 to deliver my items. Upon Delivery I found various irreplaceable items damaged, broken, i.e. TV, chairs, dining room chairs, bed frame etc. There is laundry detergent and fabric softener missing. I stock these items, roughly 6 gallon of detergent and 4 gallons of fabric softener gone as well as 2 of my 5 gallon water jugs. When I called to inquire about recourse I was told they don't ship liquid, read my estimate and stop complaining about my soap; when actually I was trying to discuss further concerns. This person in claims talked over me, and hung up on me several times.

Transaction date: 2/3/22 *************** I sent pictures of everything I had to move. I was quoted for 552 cubic feet, or $3314. After loading the truck they told me it was an additional 298 cubic feet, over 50% off the estimate even though pictures of everything were sent, and charged me over $5000. When I spoke to the apparent owner he cussed at me and told me I can pay an additional $100 per hour to have his movers unload the truck to get it to the original estimate. This is absolutely absurd that with pictures of everything they could be so far off and then try to charge me after the fact and tell me I'd have to pay for them to unload the truck.

      Please see the attached.

Hi ****. A shuttle is rare but does need to happen at times. The crew will try to avoid it as it is additional labor. If the semi cannot access the front of the building or home then either a long carry or shuttle would apply on the destination end. The contract now reflects 500 cf. Thank you.
