On Wednesday, July 10, 2024, an employee from Sunrun named ****** came to my house. He said my house was perfect to be used as a model home and they would install free solar. He wanted my PG&E login information but instead we went through my past energy usage, month by month, for a year. He also request a copy of my entire bill. I sent him a screenshot of just the energy usage and redacted my account number. After about 45 minutes he had his "technical expert" ******* (*) come to my house and go over things with me. This lasted about 10 minutes until I was asked if I had any k*** and tube wiring. I do, and said oh sorry you don't qualify, shook my hand and left. This entire subdivision was built in the 40's, which I told him. I also said that should be the first question they ask if that's required to qualify. Today, Thursday, July 11, 2024, another Sunrun employee came to my house around 2pm. I was in the middle of work, just like yesterday, so I didn't answer. He came back at 7pm and seeing an Amazon *** I mistakenly opened the door and there he was. I don't know who this new person was but I told him I was already turned down by Sunrun and he needed to get off my property. After the incident yesterday I emailed Sunrun saying these practices are unacceptable but I haven't received any reply. I also talked to my mom yesterday because my aunt (her sister) is a Sunrun customer. My mom said they are very aggressive, which after yesterday I thought they were mainly just incompetent with bad solicitation practices. But today has definitely proved her opinion of them is spot on. I really hope they will never be in my neighborhood again.
