    I was charged $150 for missing an online appointment. I acknowledge the fact that I indeed did miss the scheduled appointment and the contract states that. That being said, I was having difficulty connecting to my online zoom call with the doctor. **** requires an internet connection. I was having difficulty with my phone and WiFi. My appointment was at 5:45pm-6:00pm and the office closes at 5:00pm. I had to way of contacting anyone as the business was closed. I am not provided the doctors phone number or email to contact solely the scheduled zoom call. I was not called by anyone either during my appointment time. If I was provided other ways to connect with the doctor at my scheduled time I would have. By the time I connected to the call it was too late. When I rescheduled my visit the following day I was told make sure not to miss because they USUALLY charge the $150 for a missed appointment which led me to believe that I was being given a warning considering the circumstances this happened after normal business hours. After my phone call to reschedule I was then charged the $150. Im being charged for a quick follow up on my medication that was prescribed on the previous appointment. After a series of emails with ************ and even asking for a supervisor I have not come to a resolution. This is a healthcare provider I come to them for help not to be charged $150 for something that wasnt malicious

    I had a great doctor working with me and my medication management. It's unfortunate that the policies that govern this practice are geared towards maximizing revenue rather than showing empathy towards their patients. I knew they had a late/cancellation/no-show policy that required that I provide advanced notice so I am not charged. I *thought* the policy was 2 days notice to avoid a fee. No, it is 48 hours notice. Semantics. However, because of how the policy is worded, I missed the cut off by 5 hours and was charged $150 for cancellation. I gave 2 days notice, but because I was 5 hours short, they charged me $150. There was no exceptions, I was told.Yes, I should I read the contract more closely...I associated 48 hours with 2 days (like a normal person). Nonetheless, a practice that cares more about profiting off their patients through junk fees is not the type of practice I wish to give my business to.
