Total paid ** Elite Academy (minus club store gears&accessories): $2459.08 EIN: 35-2523738 On 04/30/23 Coach *** ran the soccer tryouts and emphasized to us of fair play & immense player development opportunity & that her focus will be building the 2013 girls team.We paid deposit to SFEA (& rejected other league offers) by 05/03/23 deadline. 06/12/23, SFEA announced coach *** is leaving. With the new coach coaching 3 TEAMS- Practice schedules delayed & one of the weekly practices combined both 2013 & 2014 squads. In the games Coach ****** show up for, my daughter got VERY little game time. Coach ****** specifically stated to parents verbally & in writing that she'd like the parents to not come to her about their kids' play but rather have the kids advocate for themselves. Hence, during a game my daughter simply asked if she could play. After the game, my daughter cried & told me that Coach ****** angrily replied "IF YOU ASK AGAIN!!" Right from the beginning of the season, the coach only cares about winning that she fails to give a chance to individual players' ******* ******** of a team as a whole.We asked for release & a prorated refund. The email reply was "She is released", without mentioning anything else. Hence, we paid for another league, thinking refund is in progress with SFEA.When I followed-up, including ***************** (president&executive director of SFEA) into the email string. Coach ****** called. But only to tell me ZERO refund b/c of paperwork that every family was required to sign. When I said that I care about the future and mental happiness of my child that's why we asked to withdraw. She then had the nerve to say "All you care about is the money!!". I believe any agreement includes commitments by both our family as well as SFEA & only one party cannot be expected to ************ is not ethical for SFEA (a non-profit organization) to refuse a refund after empty false advertisement of promises & what they put my little girl through.
