On July 16, 2024, the San Francisco City Attorney issued an Order of Disbarment to Auto Towing, LLC.
The debarment order was issued due to Auto Towing, LLC illegally towing cars from commercial and private parking lots, installing fraudulent signs to deceive vehicle owners, limiting the times vehicles could be retrieved and coercing vehicle owners to pay in cash.
Auto Towing, LLC violated multiple state and local laws, resulting in debarment. The company is banned from receiving and applying for City contracts for up to five years, which is the maximum time permitted by law
