American Connection (AC) is an auto transport company that shipped our daughter's car from PA to *********** (PR). We had an agreed upon invoice for $2050 that we paid on 2/24/21. Our credit card was charged this amount + an additl. $199. (a $123. credit card fee & $76. for extra insurance). Nowhere on the invoice or in our phone conversation were these 2 extra costs discussed. They stole from us; had we been told of the credit card charge, we could have paid via check! Upon receiving our credit statement & seeing these 2 bogus charges, we immed. called our point of contact, ***********************. He said there was nothing he could do & never referred us to anyone else. We filed a dispute with Citicard. They wanted proof from AC that they would either cancel the transaction or credit us. We couldn't cancel because they had our car and they refused to refund us any monies. Despite our best efforts to resolve things through the proper channels, AC also failed to provide the service we paid for. Our car did NOT arrive in PR anywhere close to what ***** told us. The date given was an estimate but ***** needed to clearly relay that information to us and not say it takes 2 weeks! We built our daughter's move to PR based on the info. he provided us saying our car would be on a ship & ready to sail by the weekend after it was picked up on 3/1. A week late is one thing but not 3! We have text messages b/t my *************** with him telling us the car will be on the next boat leaving that weekend once picked up from us. Also, look at the dates on our invoice. It is ******* respons. to tell us the delivery date of 3/6 is not anywhere close to correct. Our car was not available for port pick up until 4/5 after a 3/1 pickup. That is a whole month+! She had to rent a car for 4 weeks costing us an addtl. $2173.15; this was avoidable had they been honest with us. Instead they told us what we wanted to hear, took our $ and car, lied again & refused to reimburse us any $. Thank you!

As I was searching for Companies to bring my car from ************** to ******, I came in contact with American Auto Transport. I was still searching around for other companies to see their prices and as my moving date of my car got closer they started to pressure me more and more to do business with them. It came to the point where they sent drivers to pick up my car without my consent and I had made it clear and told the guy helping me that I would wait until another date the next week to see more options. As a result my car got picked from dealership and I did not have the chance to tell the dealership one hour before as instructed to get it detailed. I now have to pay out of my pocket to get it detailed and not only that, they didnt want to give me a discount or fix this problem stating that they couldnt do anything. The people who the company hired to deliver the car (*** From OV Transport) made me pay the $1250 in full even after I made it clear that I had payed the deposit of 150 beforehand. *** even called his dispatcher to confirm that I needed to pay the $1250 in which I was only supposed to pay $1100. Very bad service from both parties would recommend ANY other transport companies and brokerages.
