Yesterday morning, 10:30 I booked a car in ****** from July 3 to 9. It appeared the transaction was successful, but I never received an email nor did the trip show up in my Hotwire account under my trips.Yesterday at noon, I tried again. Also appeared to be successful, but didnt receive an email nor did it show up in my trips.I chatted with Support and they said I had two reservations, for the same car on the same dates at the same location, and told me I was responsible for both charges to my credit cards.Neither trip appears on my account under my trips. I have contacted my credit card companies and will of course be disputing one of the charges.The appropriate thing to have do was to cancel one of these reservations I cannot believe a longtime customer would be treated like this.Review from Teddi H

Booked a hotel with a pool last September. Upon arrival the hotel had gotten rid of their pool 4 years prior. So I was issued a credit. I figured I would book through hotwire.com again to use my credit. When entering payment info I applied my credit, my balance was showed with the credit being taken off. After getting my confirmation the credit was never taken off. I called to get it fix but wasn't helped at all. I was offered to cancel and rebook with a $20 loss. Terrible!! No wonder they give out credits...you can't use them.will NEVER book through hotwire again.Review from Allison G

Hotwire is a term that means theft and it is appropriate for this company. First they created a bogus ****** result when I was trying to find customer service for a car hire company and booked me with another company, so they stole business from my chosen company. Then they told me they had arranged with a car rental company that I could use a digital drivers license. I couldnt, so I was unable to pick up the car, was stranded at a small airport and had to use three other means of transport to get where I was going, so they stole from me too, both money paid for a car and the 2 hours extra time this took. When I tried to call the number *********************** gave me to call if I had any problems, the number rang out. Scammers!Review from Toni L

Whats sad is that there is no one willing to try and help! I booked a car since I was traveling for work and the issues I had to deal with! So first I book and choose the debit option. I know that most major retailers take credit cards, but because I choose debit I really didnt worry about it, until I got to the enterprise location. I was told any out of state customers are required to have a major credit card to the deposit. First when booking the enterprise car no where on there did it state that out of state individuals needed to bring a major credit card to get the car (since I picked debit) two I spent 80 dollars to go to the location to be told I needed to spend another 80 to go back and get my CC then to spend another 80 to go pick the car up on top of that spend 300 on a deposit while also paying 400 bucks to get the car? No one was willing to help! This is a class action lawsuit in my opinion since it wasnt on their website. No money reimbursed and no help! Please stay away because they wont help!Review from Nary R

My daughter and I made reservations 6 months ago so we could get a better price, now that we are a couple of weeks before our travel, they canceled our flight. I had to call them four times in total to try to work with them. I finally booked at a different site. Will never use their service again.Review from Hassan H

My family and I had made a flight reservation from ********, ****** (***) to *******, ****** (***), with a layover at ************************************). Unfortunately, our flight encountered a total of four delays. Initially, there was a delay when departing from ********, followed by three subsequent delays during our layover in *********. As a result, we were unable to attend a significant family gathering, which happened to be a wedding.In an effort to address the situation, I contacted Hotwire customer service. However, after engaging in a conversation with a representative, I was placed on hold for an extended period of 27 minutes, only to then be unexpectedly disconnected. Such conduct is highly unprofessional and fails to meet the standards expected from a company when dealing with loyal customers. Moreover, considering the significant amount of money we invested, totaling over $1000, and the fact that the circumstances leading to our current predicament were beyond our control, it is disheartening to find ourselves stranded at the airport without any assistance from Air ******, the airline responsible for our flight, or the travel agent who facilitated our booking. Experiencing disconnection during our phone call further added to our frustration.Given the extreme frustration caused by this experience, I am compelled to reassess my future use of Hotwire's services. It is unacceptable for a company to accept payment and then leave customers stranded in a foreign country without any form of support. I firmly believe that being disconnected during a phone call is an undeserved treatment. Consequently, I intend to lodge formal complaints with relevant legal and regulatory agencies, as well as file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau to address this matter appropriately.Review from Laeisha B

Please do not use Hotwire. The company will not advocate for their customer, will take your money and will not attempt to resolve issues that are not your fault. I was refused a car rental because I did not have my auto insurance card on me and my auto insurance company was closed. The company was ACE car rental and my rental was paid in advance. Hotwire refused to contact ***, refused to assist me with another rental and since the rental was paid in advance, refused to refund me my money. Lastly, I took the insurance out with Hotwire during my initial car rental because it was cheaper than my deductible. It makes no sense! I am out of almost $300.Please book directly through a rental car company that will not leave you with these concerns.Review from Jonathan M

Hotwire advertised a deal on a "3.5 star hotel" but booked me into a place that had terrible reviews and had been in the local news for prostitution and corrupt management. The customer rep was able to get me out of the deal (with a fee) but someone really screwed ** in placing that hotel (a converted Holiday Inn) with other 3.5 rated national chain hotels. This is deceptive marketing and not acceptable.Review from Keith T

I use hotwire extensively as a business traveler. I changed my card I use to a business card. When I went to book tonight I noticed the business card was not there. I then liked at the previous nights booking and they billed the wrong card. I asked them to change it and they said they couldn't? Really? That's not too much to ask for someone who books at least 2 to 3 nights a week? I guess I'll find another site to use. This is rediculous. It was their error.Review from Bailey G

We booked a Hot Rate car rental for a stay in Maui, ****** (*******) in May for our trip in October. Due to the fire that occurred in August, we ended up cancelling the trip as it didn't seem appropriate to travel there and we were unable to rebook in an area on the island that was not affected. Myself and the other members of my family that booked attempted to cancel and we were all told to call back with 72 hours of the original booked trip. I understand that I booked a hot rate but there was absolutely no effort for accommodation, not even a credit or attempt to move the reservation to a different rental location. Glad to know that they make no exceptions for "acts of God". I will never book through Hotwire or any ************* owned company again.
