I signed up for a free trial.I did not like it and looked to cancel.Email from customer care told me sorry, i signed up for a year.$250 a month? I told him I signed up for a free trial. I asked what is the point of a free trial if Im stuck for a year? My logic got through. I got my refund. Very SCAM.

      Hello ****,

We would like to validate our customer support team's action and response to your cancellation and refund request, despite your agreement to an annual contract. Please refer to the email sent to you on April 24, 2024, copied below, which honors your cancellation and refund request:

      Hi ****,

***** here; I am the Sr. ******* of Customer Support here at **********************.

It looks like all this stemmed from some crossed wires. In order to participate in a free trial of CoCounsel Core, you must be an attorney, government agency, or in-house counsel that has met with a salesperson and been presented with a trial account. In this scenario, it looks like you navigated to the checkout page, agreed to the purchase terms, and proceeded with payment.

That said, I understand that you reached out right away and can absolutely empathize with your situation, which is why we were able to help you out of the contract.

All said, I truly hope you find the legal research solution you are looking for! If it were me, I'd give a look at ********************************************************************* see if one of these might fit your needs. I hope this helps!

      Best,
      *****

The company keeps placing their results ************************** vs ****************************** when I search with ****** using the keyword "***************************" . I hold 123 copyrights *** **, and ****** also several trademarks. They keep placing results of my old court results dated ****. The fact of the matter is My marriage document has been Notarized *********, Authenticated, and validated in another country. I must demand that case text quit cyber squatting on my own search results using ****** as a means to engage in questionable activity's. I have held a US passport for a number of years. I think you should have a restraining order placed against you. ********* does not solve your personal issues with me.

Towards acting in good faith, I communicated with a Casetext representative "Jake" and identified that I wanted to use their service for "one month only." I was told this was possible, so I proceeded with using Casetext's service. What I did not know, Casetext defaults to a 2-year contract. and my pre-identified desire for one month access to their product has turned into this contested issue... I accessed Casetext January 29, 2023, payment of $225 was debited from my bank account on January 30, 2023, and I went to cancel this service on February 6, 2023, where I was told I signed on for 2-years. I appealed to representatives that a mistake has been made, and asked to be released from this contract, as stated below. Conversation with Casetext Started on January 29, 2023 at 12:48 PM Pacific Time (US & Canada) time PST (GMT-0800) --- 12:48 PM | Melvia Wilson: Hello, seeking information, need Case text for one month, is one month possible? 12:49 PM | Jake from Casetext: Hi Melvia, thanks for reaching out! 12:49 PM | Jake from Casetext: Great question! We do offer a monthly subscription for such flexibility! Attempt to cancel Hello, I contacted you regarding my desire to purchase Casetext for one monthly, I was told I could do that. I just now went in to my subscription to cancel the monthly payment and it stated that my subscription will cancel January 29, 2025. This is not what I was told or what was emailed to me regarding my one month usage of Casetext, can you help me cancel this subscription? Thanks for reaching out! Rhyan profile I'm sorry about the confusion. Give me just a moment while I look into your subscription. Rhyan profile Thanks so much for your patience! It looks like when you subscribed on November 12th you correctly chose the Monthly option. You then canceled that subscription and on January 29th you resubscribed for a Biennial subscription. In my opinion this was a DEFAULT ****! I request Casetext to do the right thing, Cancel me!

Hello ******,We are sorry you are not satisfied with our decision regarding your request to be prematurely released from your subscription agreement. In our response to your complaint, we identified the reasons for our decision to retain the contract as it is expressly written, which are: 1) you had previously enrolled in a monthly subscription to our service, which you cancelled, all without error, before resubscribing to Casetext at a lower cost and longer duration that same month, 2) our representative, ****, provided you clear and accurate instructions on how to successfully enroll in a monthly subscription prior to your purchase of a biennial subscription, 3) we provided screenshots following your checkout and purchase flow, which you completed independently, where you were informed and had to expressly agree to the pricing and term of contract in six separate modals, and 4) Casetext's terms of service state that there is no premature release of contract provision. We aim to be clear and direct in all matters relating to subscription enrollment and product education. Given the evidence supplied above and expressly shown in our communications with you directly, we believe we have achieved this.Should you like to discuss how to make optimal use of your subscription moving forward, please do not hesitate to contact our support staff for assistance or training resources. Otherwise, we consider this matter closed and appreciate your understanding.
