On November 25th, 2022, I made an online purchase of a car experience from Club Sportiva, totaling $1339.95. Despite completing the transaction, all I received was a receipt. In preparation for gifting the experience, I printed out the webpage detailing the weekend car experience and enclosed it with a Christmas card. However, a month later, I was informed that the company had ceased offering these experiences , and their online purchasing capabilities had vanished. There were no instructions provided for individuals who had already purchased the service, nor did anyone from the company reach out to me.Over the past year, I attempted to contact them through their chatbot multiple times, but received no response. Despite leaving approximately 10 messages via phone, I only managed to get through last week when I finally navigated to the prompt for members( Im not a member but apparently thats the only prompt that is being staffed). Upon explaining my situation and presenting proof of purchase via my credit card statement, I was informed by the person on the phone that they had no record of the transaction. Despite being assured of a callback, I have been consistently ignored.Due to the unavailability of the purchased service, I have requested a refund. I was instructed to email them a screenshot of my credit card statement with the promise of a callback in the afternoon. However, once again, no one reached out to me. What is particularly distressing is that two other reviews on Yelp detail the exact same issue with the company, predating my transaction, indicating that they were advertising and selling something online that they had not been offering for over two years. One review states they were told they hadnt been offering these experiences since before COVID. This behavior constitutes fraud.I am seeking a refund on my credit card and assistance in ensuring that someone from the company contacts me to address this issue promptly.Business response

Better Business Bureau:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. Turns out I was spammed and did not purchase anything from this company but rather someone imitating them. I reported the charge as fraud last night and have been refunded on my credit card. The owner, ****, was very helpful and gratious whe we spoke last evening.

In 2019 I bought an exotic car sprint certificate from club sportiva for *** for my husband. I was informed that it would never expire so I could use it at anytime. Unfortunately the pandemic hit and they have since cancelled the exotic car sprint option. They have told me I can only use my certificate for a car rental. I do not need a car rental nor do any of the rentals fall with in the price range of the certificate for a vehicle that my husband would enjoy. We visited California again in March of 2022 and this is when I called to schedule the sprint and was Informed of the above. I explained that this is terrible bussiness practice as most vehicle rentals were more expensive than my certificate and it would not be right for me to have to pay more to simply use my certificate because they no longer offer the car sprint due to the pandemic of 2020. They said they would get back to me and never did unfortunately. I would prefer to either get a refund or some kind of exchange that does not require me to spend more than what I already have.
