Mr. ****** took advantage of our desire to have a cleaner backyard for our puppy by misleading us about his license status, project timelines and took disproportionate amount of money to the services rendered. He started the project on June 25th and took the first installment. He did not show up for days leading to frantic calls and messages to him. After no progress and repeated lies we asked for our money back he refused and said he will complete the project within the timeline in the contract. He also lied that he had a license when asked to furnish it and said he did not have a physical copy with him and needed to find it and that it was under a different name so we couldn't look it up. With the backyard in an unsafe and unusable state, during a time no other contractors available, we made a good faith agreement where he would furnish his license and continue on the project as per the contract milestones and payment schedule. He kept asking for money outside the payment schedule without accomplishing the milestones in the project and threatened to abandon the project. When we did not give into his demands he got aggressive so we had to call the police fearing our safety. Money paid to **** ****** , owner of Montes alto : *****$ Business owner commitment : to complete job within 14 days of contract signed 6/24 , deliver materials required and complete percentage work in accordance with contract before subsequent payments Check made out to paver materials but pavers never delivered, nor the work completed on time. Owner did not try to resolve the problem. Demanded more money before work completion and threatened to leave project midway by yelling and shouting at us clients. Date of incident 07/10/2021 We had to pay other contractors additional *****$ to finish the original work after having to call the police to contain the business owners aggressive behavior. I am contacting BBB before I approach the courts for resolution.
