As we thought, this is a scam. We were guaranteed winners, yet when we called, there were no more spots to hear their orientation. When we asked why it said guaranteed, she repeated that there were no more spots. If this is how they are on the phone, no way would we participate in any other way.Goldrush Getaways Response

We've been members since 2017 and have been more than happy with our membership. We have traveled domestically and to ***** and have saved much. The staff has always been courteous and helpful even though we have only attended classes minimally. We would highly recommend joining if you travel or intend to benefit from the savings by your agent status when you assist family and friends with their travel plans.Goldrush Getaways Response

I've been a member for six years now and have never had a complaint. The classes are informative. I have received wonderful commissions and my family has enjoyed fabulous vacations. Granted, I only use this for my personal use, not professionally, but have recovered more than my yearly registration fees in commission fees. Hello James,
Thank you for being a valued member/agent since 2006. You are able to pay your annual member/agent dues via check, Credit card over the phone or online. Unfortunately when you opt to pay online PayPal charges a 4% convenience fee which we pass ** the the member/agents. To avoid this fee I would suggest that you either pay by check or over the phone. I am unsure what you mean by "Always overbooked" I will have Member Services reach out to you to answer any questions you have as I want to ensure your needs are well attended to.

I have been a member for years. I could not be happier. The staff is always friendly, professional and ready to help me if I have questions about a specific travel vendor or destination. I get thousands of dollars in benefits from my membership every year, all for just $149 a year? These people that are upset about receiving a marketing offer in the mail are "those types". This is an outstanding company, look at the Google reviews. Who even uses BBB anymore? 6 reviews for a company 25 years old and only from 1 or 2 people per year from a marketing offer? Definitely not how you should be judging this company. Look for complaints from actual members/travel agents like myself.Goldrush Getaways Response

Goldrush Getaways, probably has the most unprofessional, confrontational and rude sales interrogators i have ever had the displeasure of speaking with. When speaking with potential clients they might want to reconsider the way they speak to people. I hope that the BBB does investigate their practices.Review from Lovevasia B

GOLD RUSH GETAWAYS
I received mail from Gold Rush Getaways the letter was of the following:
You are a finalist in our 2022 Toyota Camry Hybrid Giveaway. First, scratch off the circles above to reveal your randomly assigned numbers, If the two numbers match, you are one of our Grand Prize Winners and are guaranteed to receive one of these prizes:
1. 2022 Toyota Hybrid or $49,000 cash
2. 7- Day Princess Cruise with Airfare for 2
3. Samsung- 70" LED- 2160p-Smart-4K Ultra HDTV
4. New Apple iPad Airand ask how to find out which prize you have won.
The two numbers on my letter matched therefore, I called the toll-free number was given an appointment for Monday, August 02, 2021 at the Gold Rush Getaways, 8350 Auburn Blvd, Citrus Heights, CA XXXXX.
The receptionist requested ID and a credit card. I provided my driver's license, two store credit cards, and my Bank of America debit card. I was informed I could not attend the presentation because the company requires a VISA Credit Card, and therefore I do not qualify for a prize.
On Tuesday, August 03, 2021, I contacted a representative from Gold Rush Getaways., regarding the advertisement, " If the two numbers match, you are one of our Grand Prize Winners and are guaranteed to receive one of these prizes". The representative from Gold Rush Getaways informed me to come to the office and pick up my prize. I arrived at 3:50 pm the office closes at 5:00 pm. Nevertheless, the door was locked. I was later informed the downstairs office was closed but the upstairs office was open. A representative from goldrush getaways attempted to entice me to return to the building, promising gifts without attending a presentation.
I SEARCHED GOOGLE INTERNET, FOUND JUST IN THE MONTH OF JULY 2021, TWO POSITIVE REVIEWS AND OVER 20 NEGATIVE REVIEWS CITING GOLD RUSH GETAWAYS WITH MISLEADING, AND CONFUSING ADVERTISEMENTS, SCAMS, AND FRAUD.
CUSTOMER REVIEWS ARE NOT USED IN THE CALCULATION OF THE BBB LETTER GRADE RATINGS. CURRENTLY, GOLDRUSH GETAWAYS IS RATED A+ BY THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU.
AUGUST 2021, I filed a report with the Better Business Bureau, to help them investigate. Hopefully, the BBB bureau will investigate, and appropriately lower the BBB rating of the goldrush getaway.

When we do receive complaints, we try to address the issue(s) and make the customer as happy as possible. Unfortunately, we fell short in this instance and again offer our apologies to Lovevasia. We tried to make it right on more than one occasion before Lovevasia filed her BBB complaint. We still want to make it right and leave an open invitation for Lovevasia to claim the items she is entitled to. Unfortunately, she doesn't want her items, so we see no way to satisfy Lovevasia's issue with our company.
During the last two conversations that we had with Lovevasia, our representatives apologized for her inconvenience and offered her the items she was promised. We did go back and ask the sales manager if she remembered Lovevasia, which she said she did and she insisted that Lovevasia was given her chance to win the vehicle or $49,000 cash by comparing her letter to the prize board, and that she was offered the 7-day cruise, which is what the prize board indicated that she would receive, but Lovevasia didn't want it at that time, which differs from Lovevasia's statement. On August 3rd Lovevasia called to inquire about her gifts and wanted to come pick them up. Our member services representative notified our admin department that Lovevasia would be coming by to pick up her gifts and that she was on her way. Our admin department prepared the items and was ready for her to arrive. Approximately 45 minutes had passed *** Lovevasia hadn't arrived yet, so our admin representative called Lovevasia to inquire when she planned on stopping by our office, since it was almost closing time. Lovevasia immediately informed our admin representative that she was in the middle of filing a BBB complaint about her experience with our company. She further informed our admin representative that she had already been at the office and waited outside for 10 minutes. Our admin representative apologized that our member service representative didn't direct her to go to suite 200, which is directly upstairs and above our 1st floor suite. (Our sales office on the first floor is closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays and that is the office that Lovevasia went to.) Our admin representative asked Lovevasia if she would return to pick up the items that she was entitled to receive. Lovevasia insisted that she had no intention of returning to our office and did not want the cruise, which she stated costs more to use than the real thing. Our representative explained that the cruise is a real cruise on Princess with airfare for 2 included and all she had to pay is the taxes. The value of the cruise and airfare is valued up to $1,898. Lovevasia insisted that she didn't want it and said that she was going to the casino, at which point she said goodbye and hung up.
Regarding our promotion, we understand that these days most people are skeptical of any offer they receive. However, we purchase insurance for the vehicle or $49,000 cash. A winning number for each prize is guaranteed to be mailed out during the contest period. The odds of winning are clearly disclosed in normal sized type on the back of the letter. There is no obligation to buy or join anything to for your chance to win. We are proud of our promotion and stand by it.
