My package arrived damaged due to it not being packaged properly. The company refuses to exchange it. They are claiming its a minor blemish and it is not!Business response

Unfortunately, I no longer have any record of the correspondence with the customer so I can only speculate based on the complaint, and our typical operating procedure in this type of situation. The customer purchased a custom complete skateboard on October 24th, 2021. A custom complete is a skateboard comprised of components specifically selected by the customer and assembled by our building team prior to shipment. Per company policy, custom complete skateboards are not eligible for return as all items purchased cannot be returned to stock once they are applied to the deck. This is clearly stated on our website, as well as throughout the checkout process. Due to the way that decks are packaged by the manufacturer; either lightly wrapped in plastic or not at all, decks are prone to blemishes. These blemishes are cosmetic only and are not considered defects. Typically, if a customer receives a deck with a blemish, they are offered the option to return the deck for an exchange/refund, or are offered partial store credit. In the matter of custom complete skateboards, we are unable to offer a refund/or exchange, but will offer partial store credit for the inconvenience. I cannot speak to how or if this was resolved with this customer. I can only assume a partial credit was offered, but not accepted.
