In November of 2020 I ordered custom furniture pieces from If You Give a Girl a Saw and paid her in full in the amount of $2,376. I got rid of our current furniture based on when she said the pieces would be done. Over the coming months, I would receive little to no communication and excuses as to why my pieces were delayed. These excuses ranged from hospital stays to delayed lumber etc. I was understanding with frustration sprinkled throughout and cut her way more slack than I should have. Then in September of 2021 I received an email asking if my pieces could be delivered that Sunday. I agreed. I made sure to stay home that Sunday even though I never heard back from her and didn't hear from her again March 2022. At this point, we hadn't had bedroom furniture in over a year. In March she reach out with another excuse regarding a hospital stay but stated a refund had been issued (that I would receive in 10+ days which seemed very open-ended) along with some steps that needed to happen on my end to make the refund process faster which I did. I have reached out to her credit card processing vendor to verify if the refund was legitimate but have not heard back. Now we are in June and I have not received the refund nor has she responded to emails. This is a small town and I have heard that she has done this to many people over the years. It's heartbreaking that any small business would take advantage of people this way.

J***** S**** is the most unprofessional business owner. She continues to create new instagram accounts(Only Tans Dot Com and B**** in the Kitchen) ones a spray tan business and the other is some oat milk business that she over sexualizes both which would be hilarious if I didn’t think she was such an irresponsible business owner. She’s a scam artist and should be investigated clearly. I have reached out to her since 2020 on a piece that I purchased for my business. That was supposed to be completed in August of 2021. My mother passed during that time and I was still accommodating her time slots. She sent an email in March of 2022 apologizing that she got Covid in September of 2021. It would’ve been believable had she just sent a personal email instead of being artsy. She said she would reach out to all clients that had unfinished pieces in 4-6 weeks. Hmmm it’s April 2023 it’s been crickets. Her personal Instagram says otherwise since she recently made it public, from September 2021 till March of 2022 she was living it up pretty lavishly. She goes on vacation left and right. It is now April of 2023 and I have never heard from her to refund my money or apologize for the lack of communication. On one of her business websites she even has a possum as her customer service employees. It’s like we’re all a joke to her. Are we a joke J*****? Because no one’s laughing. At this point it’s not about the money but the SLO community needs to know of how fake she is. If you give a girl a saw money just don’t. I honestly am humiliated that I trusted someone with my hard earned money and it makes me sick when I go into places and see her things. I’m not sure when things took a turn for her but either the instagram fame got to her or she realized she could make faster money elsewhere without having to put the work in.
