Terrible scam, I keep getting bills from *** for good housekeeping magazine subscriptions after paying total amount. When I call them they tell me to just throw the bill out???? When I ask if the subscription was updated they just say yes. I contacted good housekeeping and they have no record of it. Total scam!!!! Since then my banking accounts have been compromised, I don't know if it is related to this issue but I had to since close my accounts!

My 87-year old mother-in-law was just scammed out of nearly $300 from these people. She thought the invoice they sent was a renewal for her Reader's Digest subscription, and paid to renew it (she thought). She received another notice, not long later, "thanking" her for the nearly $300 they stole from her bank account with a fake check (made out to ****************** After the ordeal of changing accounts, ordering new checks, notifying automatic depositors, etc., We get a bill from her REAL Reader's Digest subscription. This is OUTRAGEOUS.

Our son received an unsolicited offer for a subscription renewal to Popular Mechanics magazine for $56.45 for 6 issues/one year. You can get a direct print subscription from the magazine for $15!. I knew right away this was a total ripoff. DO NOT purchase magazines from these scammers.

Received a notice of renewal for Good Housekeeping Magazine. I did not have a subscription. Waited over 10 min on phone, a rep came on and asked if I could wait a min. Hung up after 2 minutes, no one had come on the line.I am a senior citizen who knew enough not to fall for this scam- imagine how many people do fall for this scam.**************

I received an unsolicited offer for a subscription renewal to People magazine for 1 year for $189.95. I called several months later to find out when the renewal would start and was told several weeks after the existing subscription would expire. Since it was a gift the exact expiration date was not know. People magazine was called and said they don't do business with this company. I asked the subscription price and was told $118.00. I called PMB back and asked for information. The lady answering the phone took the information and said someone would call. To my knowledge they have not. We do have an answering machine.

I received an unsolicited mailing from this company which offered some free gifts if I would purchase a 3-year subscription to Woodcraft magazine. I thought this solicitation was from Woodcraft magazine. If there was any information in the mailing that identified Pacific Magazine Billing as the offering company, it was in such small type that it was not easily read. I filled out the subscription form and mailed it in the enclosed reply envelope. Fortunately for me, I did not enclose a check for payment. A few days later, I received a bill from this company for $63.45. At the bottom on the front of the bill, in a very small and very faint red font is this statement: "This is an offer from an independent company. Not a bill. Please return this portion." Elsewhere on the front of the bill are these statements: "NOTICE OF RENEWAL/NEW ORDER OFFER" and "Payment is Due in 30 days when choosing installment payment" and "Make Check Payable to: 'PMB' PACIFIC MAGAZINE BILLING LLC". The back of this bill contains a "Terms and Conditions" paragraph that says: "The offer that you received is just an offer and not a bill or invoice and you are under no obligation to either buy or continue at this time or any time in the future." This last statement is in a normal size font, but the printing is very faint. It is clear that this company is engaging in deceptive mailings to entice consumers to believe they owe a bill and to send payment to this company. This is an unfair business practice. Consumers should beware. **********

I just received an invoice for my elderly mother who is on hospice. She has been incapacitated for 3 years. This company should be ashamed of itself for praying on elderly people.

These folks are scammers, send you a renewal notice for magazines that you may or may not have. The Nat Geo bill they sent wanted over $98 for a two year subscription, when you can get a two year subscription from Nat Geo directly for $48. Rip-off! ****** you are a *****!
