**************** owner of Clover Design sold herself as a licensed architectural designer. Not sure if she has a business license. She told the court she id. I signed a bad contract with her on X-XXXX to build a back house for me. No timeline or deadline on the contract. I paid her all the money she asked. ****** I could not find her anywhere. On March 2022 I called the city and they said they had no permit or records for my house. I emailed her, she apologized and said she filed at the wrong city, and ************* was busy traveling to ********. She asked for more money. She produced a permit on March 2022. I lost her again for 6 months. On September 16,2022 I went to the city myself and asked about my project. They said she took the plans and 1 correction they told her to make and never came back. They told me to get rid of her and start all over again. That day I emailed her I will take her to court. She bombarded me with emails pushing me to sign more places. I went to small claims court. Asked the judge for my money back and the plans. She said she is new in the business, ************************************************ I asked for a letter from the doctor explaining she is on disability or excused. No letter produced. The judged asked her if she has a license and insurance. She said yes. I thought I won. When I got the letter in the mail I had lost. I do not see her operating with a license. I would not recommend her. She is a scam. Takes your money and does not do the job and leaves the state and the country. Sheriffs could not serve her for 1 month, three attempts. Do not do business with her.

Business Response /* (1000, 14, 2023/01/10) */ ***Document Attached*** ****** filed the complaint to American Architect Association for scam, however, I am an associate with AIA, I didn't promote myself as licensed architect, the AIA reviewed my case and support on me then closed the case. AIA ************************* ****** also filed with the small claim court that she wants to received more than what she paid for me after received all the design documents and construction documents, she stated during the court that she still wants to use all my design and documents but also need her money back, she refused to sign on the application so the application package could not be submitted to the LA County building department. She also lose at the small claim court. ********************************************* Consumer Response /* (3000, 16, 2023/01/10) */ Hello, I read the response of Clover Design dated 1/10/23. It's mixed truths with lies to present her case as truth. The truth lies in the details. 1) ********** at the California Board of Architects said Clover Design AKA ***************** is illegally signing herself as NCARB. She is allowed to use the initials APA, and AIA. The NCARB is illegal. She presented herself as NCARB when I first met her in person 4/2021 and has signed APA, AIA, NCARB in all her emails. She carefully and cleverly omitted putting her name *********** and her titles on the contract. So based on the contract she very smartly protects her self. Clover Designed presented herself as an architect the day I met her and signed in all her emails to me the title " NCARB" and sold herself to me as an architect. That's is fraudulence representation. 2) The Los Angeles Building and Planning staff named ********************* advised me in September 2022 to go to court and sue Clover Design because of the un- professional behavior that she took the plans on April 13, 2022 and never came back until I threatened to sue her on Sept 13,2022. That same night she emailed me the plans but I do not have the right to use them with another architect. The emailed plans are useless. Also, she will not finish her job because I canceled the contract with her. She took my money and never completed her job though she has my money for 21 months. 3 ) I asked the small claims court to have permission to use the Clover Design plans or my money back. The court said they will mail me the decision. The decision was a letter that says I get $0 but no mention if I can use the plans with another architect. That part of my request was completely un- answered. 4) Clover design did not want to give me the right to use those plans that I paid her to produce. 5) I need Clover Design to say they legally release the plans for me to use with another architect. Sincerely, *************** Business Response /* (4000, 18, 2023/01/11) */ The customer emailed me to cancel the contract after I suggested signing the application documents to do the resubmittal. This contract is canceled by the consumer itself. She is no longer our client anymore; I issued the signed copy that she can use my design layout floor plan ONLY through email. Any other design plans and construction documents are not allowed to be used directly for the continued application since the consumer canceled the contract. Consumer Response /* (4200, 20, 2023/01/11) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) 1) Clover Design signs as NCARB illegally 2) Clover Design took my $4000 and disappeared for 5 months. . I then went to the city to inquire about my project. When I found out from the city that she disappeared on me I sued her. That's when she showed up and demanded signatures from me. Who wants to do business with a fraud who takes your money and disappears and only shows up when she is sued? Even sherriff's couldn't serve her. I texted her to show up at court. 3) Floor plans are useless. I need her permission to use total plans. I paid $4,000 for them. She disappeared in New York for 5 months.
