I purchased an app that was supposed to be a lifetime upgrade and support. This app cost $1.99; this was a fair amount for the app. Over the years, and even more so lately, the app has started to ****** people with ads. Then, it wants people to pay a fee to remove the ads. They have now gone to a subscription service. My issue and complaint is that I purchased the lifetime app, which included updates. They have now removed the original functionality of the app and now require either a one-time fee of $199.99 to upgrade or an annual subscription of $39.99, with the first year being $29.99. They have done a bait-and-switch and now have sellers remorse and are committing fraud by removing the original functionality included with the original purchase price. They now want more money to restore this. They did respond through email and provided a code for the $199.99 one-time fee. However, that has not restored the app's original functionality that generated the complaint. I have also lodged a formal complaint with the ******** Attorney General. They did not create a new app; they simply improved the old app and, through updates, have and are trying to force people who already paid for lifetime upgrades to pay more. The greed and lawfulness of this company are absurd. Give me what I paid for! Some may say or think it's only $1.99, but in reality, it's $199.99 once or $39.99 annually in perpetuity. But in reality, what stops them in five years from saying they want more money and charging another one-time fee or raising the annual subscription price? That's what they did to me, and I assume many others! They should have created another app and not upgraded the original app, but they didn't; they screwed anyone who bought in at the older lower price point that paid for lifetime upgrades! App has not performed correctly since last September. I've requested support on and off over the last year with no resolution. Numerous reviews on the apps download page echo my complaints.I am requesting a refund for past years subscription.$2.15 per month x 12 months.$25.80This is no way makes up for the confusion of all my contacts getting random texts and pics without my permission, but I suppose it's all I can ask for.I can attach emails between myself and *********** support if it is needed.Thank youBusiness response

The customer was refunded in October for monthly charges from March 2022 through August 2022, and we resolved the matter with them.
