My vehicle, a **** ************** was taken in by ******************** for minor touch up in a couple of areas of the car. The owner convinced me to sandblast the car and have repainted from the metal up. He gave me an estimate of 15k to repaint the car, but I asked if he could do single stage paint instead in order to keep the car original. He said yes, but that it will cost 18k ( I checked a days ago and as far as I found out single stage painting is not legal in the San ,ate county ) and I said ok. No written estimate was given to me. Months and months passed by, and I didn't hear from the body shop. I called and called. Perhaps they we closed. So a few months later ( I have a very busy lie ) .I drove to ********* to check on my car. The owner of the shop was surprised to see me. "Hello *****, what's up? " "Here is your car. As you can see there are a lot of imperfections after we sandblasted it". I was shocked to see the damage on the car that was actually created by a terrible sandblasted job, but I played cool. He then text me an estimate of 47k to bring the body and the car back to its original. I contacted then ******** that owns a bodyshop in ************. I asked him to go to see my car in ********* and to give me an opinion of what happened from the sandblasting from his professional point of you. ******** told me that they used too much force and the whole body of the car was burn and deformed. I asked ******** to talk to ***** and to bring the car to his shop in ************, **********************************************************. In order to get the car, ***** asked to be paid $ $4,338.812 for body work ( no body work was done, that so ever, and and additional $1500.00 for the sandblasting.... I asked ******** to pay with my credit card so he was able to bring the car to his shop in ************. The car is at ********'s shop for you to inspect the damages from the sandblasting, This vehicle is worth over 80k.
