      My husband and I have been patients at Foster City Dental Care for several years. At my last visit (05.26.2021) they suggested a deep cleaning treatment ($700.00 not covered by the Kleer Plan that I have with them). I wanted to try to improve the area with increased flossing etc, and was not agreeable to spending $700.00 out of pocket. When I called to schedule my next (covered by Kleer contract) dental cleaning with themI was told that I could not schedule a regular cleaning without going ahead with the deep cleaning. I have lost trust in this dental practice as has my husband (who actually has a more expensive Kleer Plan with them). We called to cancel our plan with them and request a prorated refund, and were told they would cancel us but denied a refund. I have been denied care that they owe me by contract (twice yearly cleaning) and pressured me to proceed with a procedure that costs $700.00 and is not covered in order to get the dental care that I have paid for. This Kleer Plan is specifically with Foster City Dental, and does not provide coverage at another dental clinic. As I paid $252.00 for my plan and $ ****** for my husband's plan coverage 11/2021-10/2022 I request a refund of 10 month's premium (Jan 2022-Oct 2022): $252.00 + $****** = $826.00 total for 12 months, 10 month premiums add up to $688.00. This amount $688.00 is the amount to be refunded to me.

      Patient has had our in-house dental plan for the last 4 years. Patients get notified of their renewal premium 45 days prior to it being due and then again 1 week prior. Once the premium is paid they get a notice that they have 30 days to cancel should they choose to. Patient did receive all services that are covered under her annual plan. We would like the opportunity to have patient come in for a consultation with our doctor to explain to her the need of the deep cleaning that was recommended in hopes to regain her trust. Patient never reached out to me directly as the office manager to discuss her concerns before reaching out to BBB. Being that she is a valued patient we like the opportunity to explain her treatment and if she's still not satisfied we can offer a partial refund.
