I have been waiting for my refund since June 2023 on flight that was cancelled or never confirmed by exploretrip. I have called over 73 times. Would get hung up on most of the times and still no effort to send back my money. Please explore trip it would be nice to do right for a change. This company has given me the run around with a ticket I booked. They lie, each rep has a different story and the supervisors are rude and yell at customers. I was informed by the airline that they refunded all tickets to ***** due to the country sign closed during the pandemic. When I called explore trip to inquire about the refund they are giving me the run around . Despite my own knowledge they even got me to pay an extra $200 to keep the ticket to get a credit despite the country being closed.Today I spoke with a supervisor ******** who yelled at me , interrupted me when I was speaking and would not let me voice my disappointment in the company ( which as a supervisor he is supposed to take complaints and hopefully make corrections ). This is very disheartening and I will never use this company again. I will also be issuing my social media platforms to express my grievances with this company in hopes to warn others.Review from Bryan G

I had contacted them because my trip had not been confirmed and they were supposed to refund me. I never received a refund so when I contacted them again they refused to give me a refund and when I asked to speak to a supervisor the associate was very rude and put me on hold for a very long time until I hung up. Never in my life have I had a travel booking experience as profoundly difficult as this. First time booking with ExploreTrip, through ************* -- round trip with 2 different airlines. Some highlights:- The departure trip was supposed to have a checked bag. They didn't include it and gaslit me saying there never was a checked bag to begin with (I have screenshots)- The return trip had a significant schedule change of 5 hours. After much back and forth they agreed to refund this half of the trip on 2/5/23 - but told me it would take 2-3 MONTHS to process. I ask for a confirmation email and receive nothing.- Exactly 1month after requesting the refund, 3/5/23, and now 2 weeks before date of travel, I call to ask the refund status. I am informed the refund request was never initiated. Okay ... I give exact dates of our previous conversations and oh look! They found the notes! But they need to put me on hold. Great sign. I am informed the "Concern Team" (who, to my knowledge, neither acts as a team nor expresses any concern) cannot get in contact with the airline (when I asked further, I was informed that "cannot get in contact with" meant "refused to wait on hold for 2-3 hours and disconnected"), and couldn't process the refund request. They tell me I should call the airline myself to request the refund, as it's not the travel agency's job to "manage the booking". Why didn't they reach out to me before, I asked? No coherent answer was given.I am now 3 months since booking, 1.5 months since the flight schedule change, 1 month since I WAS INCORRECTLY INFORMED THAT THE REFUND WAS CONFIRMED, and now 20 minutes since filling out a form with the airline requesting a refund (the lovely unnamed airline who's name rhymes with Fromtier actually removed their dedicated phone number and require you to download their mobile app to contact their chat bot) -- all the while my refund still remains to be seen. Avoid at all costs, even grimey Expedia is better than this scam.Review from Phuc T

WORST BOOKING WEBSITE, SAID TRIP CONFIRM, THEN I CALL A WEEK LATER. IT GOT CANCELED AND NO EMAIL IS SEND OUT. REASON FOR CANCEL UNKNOWN, PRICE OF THE FLIGHT IS NOW A LOT HIGHER THAN IT WAS A WEEK AGO. NO ACTION TO HELP.Review from Darika K

Explore Trip has been an absolute nightmare to work with. I have been trying to change a flight and every time I call I get a different answer (you have to make the change immediately on this call, you have to make the change directly through the airline, you can only travel to the same destination you'd already booked - all things that the airline itself refuted when I called them directly for clarity). The representative talked over me/interrupted like crazy, cut me off, and gaslight me. They finally insisted that I make the change through the airline themselves. The airline let me know this is a tactic that third party companies like Explore Trip use to skirt responsibility. I am grossly unimpressed and will never use Explore Trip again. I have lost hundreds of dollars by booking through Explore Trip.Review from Lukas D

I booked an economy light flight with Icelandair through their website, I just contracted COVID-19 and could not take my flight on the 24/05 so I called to change my flight which ended up costing the same amount as the ticket. I should have not showed up to my flight and could have gotten a cheaper flight all together. The fact that there is not COVID-19 guarantee for getting a voucher is horrendous, I have proof that I have COVID-19 and all they could do was reduce the transfer fee, but I could not get a voucher. I am extremely disappointed as booking directly would have allowed me to speak with Icelandair directly.Review from Hailey P

Totally a scam, waste of time. PLEASE READ BEFORE YOU BUY!If youre using Skyscanner to search for flights, Exploretrip will show up. Tickets on their website are inaccurate and they will not be available to book! First, that website will lure you to book unavailable tickets with such a good deal but therere no tickets.Then, their agents will call to assist you to book completely different tickets. Otherwise, you will be charged for a cancellation fee of 50% what ever your tickets cost.Last but not least, they wont tell you how much will it cost to cancel. You need to confirm whatever email they sent to get your money back in MONTHS. And will be charged a crazy amount of fees which banks wont take a dispute for that.BE AWARE, THEY ARE DOING THIS FOR A LONG TIME. TRICKING BANKS AND CUSTOMERS. RUN AWAYYYY! They are absolutely horrible and have terrible business practices. I had a flight that was cancelled in 2020 due to covid restrictions at the time. I called them to get a refund and they refused. I called the airline and they said they were willing to refund but could only refund ExploreTrip. My only other option was to get a voucher from the airline. And now I just tried to use the voucher only to find out that ExploreTrip got the refund (which override my voucher). So now ExploreTrip has stolen $1200 + from me. They never gave me the refund. Disgusting. I am saddened businesses and people like this exist.Review from Bianca C

1 star is just too much for them...They just f*** up our so planned sabbatical dream in ********! Don't trust them!!! My husband is trying to deal with them for days... now, they just hang up their phones! They are monsters!! We are sooo stressed because of them!! I'm not going into details because I don't want to lose anymore time and energy! Just believe me and DO NOT use their services!!
