I can only say positive things about Schools First Credit Union, Either by phone or in person my experience has been good. Representatives are easy to work with, they explain things well, I never had a problem. And just the fact that a Schools First representative responds to every comment, tells you they try to do their best to support us as a customer.

Don't trust these paid reviews. These guys have the worst customer service, online portal, and web service possible. App doesn't function half the time.Would rather kill myself than have the displeasure of working with this bank ever again.

I was told in Feb 2023 by *************************** that a few bills I received would be paid by Schools First. One was due in April & another in June. These were both Supplemental bills which I now learned are to be paid by the home owners. We received approx. $500 in late fees for not paying on time. This has now been paid by Schools First out of our Escrow Acct but the fee was still paid by us so now we owe $******* to our escrow Account by January. I don't feel its fair that we have to pay a late fee from our own pockets when this information was told to me. We had the money ready to pay earlier this yr which is why I called to make sure who had to pay this. After I got the late fee notice I called Schools first multiple times and on 9.20.23 I received WRONG information again by another employee in the ******** They would not give me her name but her initials were DRY. She told me we would have a new mortgage amount of $3,075.26 and that we would be refunded $7,100 because our county taxes dropped to $1400.00 which didnt make sense. I asked her if she was 100% sure about this and she said yes. When I called back on 9.21.23 I was told by another gentleman that the information was incorrect. That we actually owed ******* because SchoolsFirst made that payment for us. I never received a call or an update on why we had to pay or what was happening. I constantly had to call for an update/status. I will be filing a complaint with the BBB. I know calls our recorded so hopefully they can listen and hear that I asked if this was just extra money that we had and that we could use it however and that ***** confirmed this. I will also file a complaint with ****************************************************************************** and any other **********/federal site to plead my case. Not only were we assessed a $500 fee for being late but we owe $3300 which is not something we were budgeting for.

I held power of attorney over my mother's account and am executor over her will. The **** and I had good communication when managing her life needs while she was in a care home, but as soon as she passed, the credit union immediately froze the account causing an additional financial crisis on top of trying to bury my mother. I'm not sure if they were ignorant of the impact on the family, or being monsters, but if you want to protect your family through life and death issues, avoid this bank.

********************* Investigtor is a BIAS. He never properly did his job correctly to investigate. He should not be working with the bank. He was very unprofessional and rude to me. Hes very lazy at conducting his work to investigate thoroughly. He needs to be let go now. Please get rid of him.

Just have to share this because it makes me sick. My 91-year-old grandmother wrote me a check with my inheritance. Unfortunately, she put my husband's last name, which I have not taken. I tried to deposit it anyhow and it wouldn't go through. When I called to see what I needed to do about this they told me that I would have to legally change my name to deposit it. How dare they try to manage my personal decisions as a woman in this way!
