Complaint and Request for Investigation Regarding Dental Service and Fees This is an issue regarding the service and fees charged by OC Dental Center (*******************************************************************) in the amount of $4,275.00. Below are the key points outlining the unresolved matter and potential mistreatment and malpractice: 1. **History of Events:** - In May 2023, I sought consultation at the OC Dental Center regarding issues with a crown on the upper left side of my mouth. Following the consultation and multiple x-rays, the practitioner recommended redoing the current denture and also addressing another crown on the upper right side, which had food getting stuck a little. - Within two weeks, both crowns were installed. While the upper left crown seemed satisfactory, the issue with food getting stuck in the upper right crown worsened after the redo. - In September 2023, the upper left denture began to cause discomfort. Despite a subsequent visit to the practice where some filing was done, the issue persisted. - In January 2024, while on vacation, the crown on the upper left side unexpectedly cracked and fell out during a meal. This led to physical discomfort and necessitated an emergency visit to a local dentist who attributed the issue to improper installation. This has cost me reduced family time, lost vacation reservations, and two new flight tickets for me and my child, due to premature return home and addressing the missing tooth. At the practice I was confronted by aggressively approached owner, who denied any responsibility but offering to fix a missing tooth for #**** extra payment. Feeling humiliated and unsupported, I have left the practice with a hole in my mouth and wasted $4,000. On my 2 official complaints, all I got was the delayed response, stating that it is none of their fault. March 2024, I am still missing tooth, and being refused to the refund, so I could fix it elsewhere. It got to the dead end with the practice. 2. ****************** ********** of ******* The practice failed to uphold the expected standard of care within the dental community by refusing to take responsibility for the faulty work and demanding additional payment for necessary repairs. - **Negligence:** The practice's inadequate consultation and treatment approach resulted in harm to the patient, both physically and financially. - **Causation:** The negligence of the practice directly led to physical injury, emotional distress, and financial loss for myself as the patient. - **Damages:** The damages incurred include physical injury, additional medical expenses, pain and suffering, and loss of enjoyment during a family vacation. 3. **Dispute Resolution:** Given the severity of the situation, I requested a full refund of the amount paid for the service so that I may seek treatment elsewhere. So far, the practice has denied any responsibility for the fallen out crown. I simply have been told that "I should not have been chewing on those teeth". I will attach relevant documentation and exhibits to support my case if necessary.

This business is a scam. I am disabled and legally blind, this business took advantage of my disability and pulled a bate and switch regarding dentures that I purchased. I First went to the OC dental center in Sep.t2023 I gave them a $2,000 deposition on dentures that allegedly cost $6,000, then they set up a credit card in my name for the for the balance, with a company called Alphaeon credit company. The flexible dentures that I was shown in the beginning was not the denture that they tried to give me in Nov2023, they tried to give me a metal denture that's that same as what i already have (a less expensive denture. I refused to take the denture, so, they said that the lab made a mistake and they would remake it in the flexible material, I had many appointments for more impressions, but, they could not get a right impression, s they asked me to leave my dentures fr a day so they could copy them. I d not want to go without my dentures for hours, as I am diabetic and I need to eat regularly, I told them this and they sad they didn't care and they refused to refund my deposit and cancel the credit card.
