I am filing this complaint on behalf of my client, *****************************. My client paid LB Genetics $695.00 on September 1, 2021 for DNA services. LB Genetics was paid to perform DNA collection services from the ***************************** (father), who resides in the *************, and his daughter, ********************************** (daughter), residing in ***********. ********************************* was referred to this agency by the **** Embassy in ***********. As it turns out, it appears the company is no longer in business. ******************** went to their office in Santa, CA and the building is empty. I called LB Genetics and received a message the phone number is no longer in service. LB Genetics did not complete the services they were paid to do and ******************** wants a refund of his money.Business response

I apologize for the confusion and concern your client has experienced. LB Genetics closed its doors on March 31,2022. However, as the Director of LB Genetics, I continue to work with our testing laboratory to ensure any cases still pending completion of testing are processed in a timely manner once all samples for each case have been collected and received.
Our office phone number *************) was forwarded to an external line. However, due to a recent phone company error, service for that number was disconnected for several days in the first two weeks of May. Service has since been restored and the number is working again.
Please be advised that I received a telephone voice message and an email from your client within the past two weeks, and I responded to each of them. Specifically, I returned his phone call and left him a message on his voice mail, briefly stating the status of his case, and I replied to his email with a similar explanation. I have not received a response to either of those message. In any event, the *** testing for your clients case has been completed and the results were sent to the **** Embassy in ************ on May 2nd. A copy of the results has been mailed to your client for his records.
Once again, I am sorry for the confusion and frustration the closure of our business has created for you and your client. We are doing our best to navigate through a challenging time. Despite the challenges, I have no intention of abandoning any LB Genetics case or LB Genetics customer whose case is still pending completion of testing.
